Hey guys,
Firstly, I apologize to Staff if this isn't allowed or deemed insulting.
I personally, am Indifferent to the idea of a Respec. but a small part of me would love one. This isn't so that I can follow the 'Flavor Of The Month' theme that some others tend to.
I just feel that there has been several significant changes since the last Respec. Now I'm not suggesting a Respec every time an update is mentioned, However many of these changes especially from 1.2 have been deemed game changing.
List of Notable Game Changers:
- Addition of Optimal, Effective, and Absolute Ranges. - Addition of The Commando Dropsuit Class. - Addition of Ferroscale and Reactive Armor plates & Shield Energizer Modules. - Removal of Free LAV BPO's. - Refinement of the RDV System. - Refinement of the "Call For Help!" System. - Refinement of the Nanite-Injector revival mechanics.
Less Notable Game Changers:
- Official Release of Information Regarding Weapon Profiles. - Planned Logistics Dropsuit Changes.
These are simply the things that come to me off the top of my head. I really think everyone underestimates just how much was changes in 1.2. I mean just implementing Optimal, Effective, and Absolute Ranges is game changing.
Please Vote and Show CCP how we as a community feel.
Also these are two things I deem more of a comedic issue, but fellow Users from my Local Chat demanded their listing.
- Refinement of the Saga-II which is now useless to though without skills. - Lack of Counters and Planning of/during the recent Mordu Event, people feel "F##k'd over."
These aren't really related to the Respec well I guess the Saga-II could be in a small way. But these are things that the Users from my Local Chat feel they've been "F##k'd over" on, and the general consensus of not offering a Respec is what they deem another "F##k Over".
Apologies for the direct quotation of phrases used. |

Firstly, I didn't realize the Poll was bugged.. If any could find a better Free Service, I'll gladly update the Poll.
Secondly, I do not support FOTM I just feel that when their are significant changes made to a game we shouldn't be penalized.
DUST 514 is a long term based game, so we plan for the future but when that future is shifted without our control we deserve a level of compensation, now I also agree that it can and will indirectly support those lesser players that follow the FOTM Theme however could we not have a sacrifice be made alongside this Respec. as players have suggested a SP Cost or better yet a Percentage which will even further deterrent those with higher amounts of SP.
Thirdly, I am not suggesting this for the changes made in 1.3 as they for the most part seem to be minor and will only damage those that have been making Gun-Logi's or Logi-Foot-Tanks, rather than the intended role of a Logi.
I am suggesting a Respec. due to the listed Game Changers in the OP.
Furthermore, I am voicing the opinion of those that are in my Local Chat and the Local Chat's of the Users in my Corp. The other day when this topic was created my Corp. I were discussing amongst ourselves and our Respective Locals Chats. We are a relatively small Corp. so none of us currently share a Local Chat, but we wanted to hear the opinions of not only ourselves but of what the users in our Locals Chat were and as a form of community service I told the liberty to take a general consensus of what was said, and this topic is the result.
I especially back what Pseudogenesis has said as I can safely assume many of these users who I have given a voice to, do not know that we even have a forums or simply do not wish to use such a feature.
I also fully back Rynoceros's state regarding Respec's when more racial variations are released as I've seen many players not necessarily complain about the Amarr Heavy Dropsuits but wish they could have a Heavy Dropsuit of their actual race. |
