That is the question. Keep the weapon the same but only let scouts use it. They can be hard as hell to hit and use an OP weapon but you can shred 'em like paper if you do hit them. Seems fair. (BTW, I am neither a scout or flaylock user. This was just a simple fix that occurred to me.) |

You'd have empty souls x1000. If you don't know what I'm talking about, be glad. He hurts. A lot. |

The only reason I don't support it is that all other scouts would stay underpowered. |

African Americans and women fought for decades for the right to vote. They wanted equal opportunity, the same chances and the same start as everyone else, they wanted balance. We have that with the flaylock, it is fair because everyone has a chance to use it, but the minute we exclude people from using it it becomes broken. If only scouts can use it that makes the fighting edge exclusive to scouts alone, making scouts OP. |

This (CeoPyrex Kicking Dust 2.14) is a good example of the flaylock being used with a scout suit. I think this general level of damage can be done with the flaylock and any suit, but I don't think you will solve anything, just perhaps limit the number of people who can run said fit.
I personally would rather keep the weapon open to be used by everyone, because it is quite fun, but perhaps just tweak it down a touch. |

But you see, scouts are UP, combining the two means balance, kind of like heavies don't actually suck, just their HMG does. |

Or what if only the non-existent Pilots suits could fly a vehicle?
Or only Logis can carry Logi Gear, including Hives, Injectors and Repair Tools.
Think of the joyous limitations! No more learning how you like to play! No more wondering what the other Merc is using. Just Kill Scouts at a distance as they cannot shoot that far. It would solve so many things. For one, no more Scout Shotties. That would be perfect.

Suffice to say, if you can't do well with a flaylock it is because you met someone who is better or you are bad. |

As a scout I say No!
We already have enough problems, so if we accidentally become FOTM (which we would with exclusive flaylock), it would only be a matter of time before a new nerf was inbound on us. And CCP really don't seem to know what they are doing so they may just end up making us slower moving than heavies (or something else crazy and nonsensical). |
