I've been comfortable with the current aiming more so then the aiming back in Chromosome. I couldn't hit anything back in Chromosome with the Sniper rifle because I could never seem to get it on targets. Now I'm doing it awesome. Headshots for days
What is the issue though? I am lost, 'Velma dropping her glasses in a haunted house' lost |

I have only minimum problems, but that's only my fault (I took a break and forgot how to aim, accidently changed my sensitivity, played another game with different aiming mechanics.)
When I get used to the aiming, I'm fine with it. |

I am way too inconsistent to notice if it is me being randomly terrible or the game. Sometimes I am dead on other times it feels like I have to fight it too hard which makes me tend to fire behind people. |

I never played Chromosome, so I'm still wondering a bit what people really mean when they say they "can't aim". Is it about moving the cursor where you want it to? Or that you just don't hit stuff?
The biggest difference I can tell between Dust and other console shooters is that Dust has no acceleration. I.e. if I push the stick half-way, the turn speed is exactly half of the maximum. While in a game like BF3, the turn speed increases exponentially so it's less predictable but allows for a wider range of accuracy (both fine adjustments and quick turns). I don't think it's quite easy to find the best compromise between accuracy and turning speed in Dust, but other than that it seems far easier to learn.
Aside from the basic difficulty of "getting the cursor on target", there is of course also the fairly frequent lagging, which can make it quite difficult to aim smoothly. Just wondering what exactly people are talking about. |

In general i have no problems when scoped... well, except the low sensitivity, which is considerably lower than when not scoped.
I think the biggest aiming problems is with the AR, SPECIALLY with a mouse... CCP couldn't find a good excuse to Nerf the AR completely, so they nerfed the aiming and the mouse instead. |

now that im using GIMX, I have been able to tune the parameters in that to make aiming feel quite nice actually.
Now if only CCP would decouple move speed with aim sensitivity. You pretty much can't run different suits with different move speed simply due to the changes in aim sensitivity that comes from it. |

I'm pretty sure this is my issue with the scrambler pistol. I almost always run smg with twitchy settings, but everytime I use a SP the aim feels unruly and wild. Which is a shame cus the SP is amazing when I can land my shots. |

I think its mostly with acceleration on some things and aim assist not working to assist aiming. Mostly mousse input in equals turn rate out and similar to the DS3 deflection of stick in equals rate of turn out.
Some people like consistency in rates, others enjoy the longer you do it the faster it goes.
Bunch of other small nuances still annoying players and a last bit of clunkiness. |

Just wondering what exactly people are talking about. For me it is having your cursor on the target, seeing red hit marks and no damage being done. Its maddening, I feel like I'm part of a social experiment and CCP is f@&king with me. That and I'm terrible. |

I also think Aim works fine,.
BUT,..
Any connection delay wreaks havoc on aim, I know its delay cause my gun will fire 1-3 more shots after I let go of the button on a bad day,
This type of lag, or Client/server connection can ****** your ability to aim, even if its .01 second to slow.

"Consistency" is good...Just give us raw input for the mouse, i think most of us will be happy with that.. hell, even disable aim assist altogether, it seems to do more harm than good. |

Just google it, its a bit complex to run it and you need to have your ps3 next to your computer. But its pretty cool.. Ive only been using it for 2 days now. Being able to use my mechanical keyboard and bind custom keys to it is soooo nice. |

Certain weapons i.e. Shotguns, can't handle even the slightest latency or lag at present (at least I think that is what the problem is). AR's generally make up for this problem with a spray of bullets, but one shot wonder type weapons have some pretty horrible moments.
Also, shotgun doesn't seem to have any spread, it might as well be a beam weapon with massive damage. The whole 'shot' equation is missing somewhere. |

What is this aim assist you speak of
If this game ever requires aim assist to actually compete, its all over. |

^this. My only problem with the shotgun right now is that the hit detection is so unpredictable. sometimes it will register, other times I put 2 or 3 rounds into him with no result ( most of the time it is this ). as long as CCP can fix this I will be fairly content. |

I say yes to the aiming issue. My HMG has a small white dot, it has to be exactly on point for it to hit. That is a weapons fault not aiming I understand. What I getting to is my gun seems to not detect or track certain targets. As I progress, match after match it continues to get worse. Some matches my gun does not register damage or will not fire second it cant track the person moving the bullets seem to be slightly off. If I reset the problem is fixed only so long. It could be lag but I know of others who have had this same experience. Any ideas as to fix this, I have everything to 100 and even tried lowering the pixel rate and so on and so on. None works except resetting the game. Any suggestions. |
