Yup lets all assume everyone is tuned into CCP thinking and sifts through these forums all day. Surely there are people who specced into Callogi who will find that the suit is no longer suited to their playstyle. More to the point a no respec policy makes only sense when CCP isnt making rapid changes to the weapons and suits balance at a rapid pace. If the game was stable for years on end and something new was introduced or a tweak was made sure that would make sense but otherwise no there is no reason to deny people respecs.
At the very least people ought to get a refund out of the logi suit and not the racial frame itself. Personally id say the whole dropsuit frame should be refunded but other areas iike weapons and modules shouldnt be done. Moreover these arent the final changes to the suit either, they said that these bonuses are in place because the real bonuses that they want arent on the frames because of a technical hurdle that means players are playing on an unfinished archetype. To punish players who spec into under a certain set of parameters and to then completely change those parameters and tell them they are stuck with them is completely counterproductive.
It will only prevent anyone from trying any new items on the assumption that if its a bust then they are stuck with them which leads to a drop in player statistics for those items and feedback which in turn leads to unbalanced item staying in the game far longer then they would if people utilize them.
In an ideal world the devs would have the items fully balanced on initial iteration. Keep in mind there is a ton of content still planned to be added to which players would like to have access to.
This however is the biggest point to be made is that few if anyone would care about respecs if there were no SP cap, if earning SP was at a rate similar to 3x SP events people wouldnt care about the balance changes because they could rectify it in short order.
So the solution is simple either give respecs or get rid of the cap during the iterative and balancing phase of this game, once the bulk of the content is released and balanced then CCP can stick to the decisions matter mantra all they want, until then its a garbage policy.
For the record i run Gallente Logi and a host of proto weapons so i dont want nor need a respec, that and i dont play this game but for the people who still do id at least like to see them not constantly get screwed over at every turn, or perhaps its better this way it will only kill of the game faster which allows me to come in here and boast with smug satisfaction. |

Cal LogiGÇÖs, Flaylocks, etc. are all poor balancing decisions by CCP and the fact that we demonize players whom make educated decisions instead of CCP seems a bit strange to me all things considered.
TL:DR GÇô DonGÇÖt hate the player. Hate the game.
Note: I donGÇÖt use either item.
The sad part is if there were a test server or if CCP had the decency to do a full data dump like we asked for prior to release of all this content then we could have pointed out everyone of these issues.
It wasnt difficult to see that all these things were out of place. Now one side will argue well thats the exact reason to avoid those items because they will eventually get addressed meanwhile you are asking for competitve players to not use the most competitive gear operating under the assumption everyone will act in the same accord it doesnt happen.
The fact is CCP reactive approach to developing this game is half of its problem, most if not all of these imbalances and inconsistencies are spotted on the first day of new content drops because once the players have the actual numbers in their hands they can quickly determine how it will fit in with the rest of the game.
Now its nice they are releasing blogs and telling us ahead of time what the coming changes are, what future consideration they are looking into but its bit late on the matter for this point in time. |

There wont be no refunds, those who speced into caldari logi knew the nerf would come.Just like those who invested all their sp into flaylock,,,you think they should also get a refund after it get nerf?Get rid of cap?that was funny, you imagine how many **** buckets would get full?
Saving this for later so I can laugh at all the people who dont get there is going to be respec coming, they are inevitable given the content additions and the full litanty of rebalancing of weapons and suits coming. And the comment about the shiit buckets, just lol you're one of those scrubs that thinks that continued SP accrual matters in this game. Time and time again 10-15M, hell 20M is the most anyone needs to play this game competitively. Beyond this is window dressing. So yes tell yourself people will continue to grind away because so many people are logging on to cap every week just like they were in the beginning right? No wait they dont even log on perhaps its becaue they dont like playing the game and they have the amount of SP they wanted to build the character they desired. Hmm no thats too obvious that couldnt be the reason |
