i'm gonna fit a 2x jovian ab viper for shts and giggles You should have seen ab vipers back when we still had chassis mods, things got very weird, very fast, and very fun. The viper became incredibly sensitive in it handling and it skidded across the sky (literally how it flew). It was the greatest fun I've ever had flying.
And having messed about with jovians on the python back when uprising hit, I have to say that putting one on their can make a good fit, I don't like the HP loss though, it tends to get one shotted when people hit it. As for 2 jovians something just feels wrong with the handling.
That said I've never thought of speed tanking an incubus, I'll need to try it when I have the ISK. |

Having tried out this fit I have to say IMO a shield extender is more useful than an MCRU, grants you a bit of extra buffer and blueberries can't be trusted when it comes to leaving a dropship. I also think it might be worth putting a repper in one of the low slots, had a couple of really close calls with armour burn, you do lose some acceleration though. |

Eject button would be perfect in this situation. Like dropping a payload of mercs ,hehe. pewpewpew. Won't ever happen though. Way too much trolling to be had. Yeah, you know you would. Bye bye LOLOLOL I'm not going to criticize your 'adjustments'. Your ISK, Like I said, I've never been shot down in this fit. If I screw around, get railed and get into armor, I land and recall it. 45 seconds max brb guys. I fly this super aggressively though. I actually spend the ship upside down half the time, to decend quickly. If anyone wants to come for a ride sometime y'all are most welcome. HYPOTHETICAL - can you land a flaming ship and use your repair gun? Never tried. In this case, I got knocked into a building and then got swarmed , put me down ton 300 or so armour and that's where the burn started, had a rather tense 15 seconds while I found a Supply depot to land at. Landed with only 70 armour left, barely managed to save the ship. And yes provided you don't hit 0 armour you can, an you can use either a rep tool or a supply depots to repair your ship. |

Actually gbghg, I've had a dropship with 0 armor and managed to repair it using a module... And I have also repaired a dropship that had zero shield and armor bars (though not sure if absolute zero) and barely saved it. Doable, but not recommended as it's not good on the heart... lol. What you have to prevent is the "Death Spiral" or the "Unrecoverable Zone" if a dropship gets down to zero shields and zero armor, you can still pull out drastic measures with emergency repairs as long as you prevent any more damage to the dropship that will enter it into the "Unrecoverable Zone". Those who are veteran pilots will know this as a "Death Spiral" since if you are flying or hovering, pilots will notice an immediate lose of control and a spiral of the dropship. Again, doable, but not recommended. Yeah I had the same thing, interestingly enough I'm my variation of the fit, the repper saved my ship, definitely worth the loss of speed.
But I said 0 armour because 90% of the time hitting that puts you into the death spiral, and anyway you don't want to be that low on health. |
