Im going to make it short and sweet. CCP could you please stop with all the balancing, and working on core aspects of the game, as well as all the minor problems with the game.
People are pissed. The game is losing players at a rapid pace and not gaining new ones. In my opinion there has been too much focus on balance and core mechanics and such. Thats great and very important but where is the content?
Where are the racial weapons, dropsuits, and vehicles? What ever happened to every map being unique and massive, game modes, and a commander being on the field? Not to mention missions, PvE, and stuff. There are so few ways for EVE to interact with Dust besides bombing us from orbit. Your idea of a new game mode is just removing an objective or just letting installations fall out of the sky. Thats not a new mode. There was mention of a weapon customization system that exists but hasnt been added yet. When will a commander be able to change the battlefield in their favor?
CCP please look back at all the previous trailers, and fanfest videos. When watching these videos it all looks so FREAKIN AWESOME! But the game we actually play is but a shadow of the glory we see in the videos.
Balance is important but the problem is that with every new system, weapon, module, dropsuit, installation, and mechanic added, it throws everything out of wack. There is no point in messing with guns and suits until nearly everything is in game. Right now we don't even have racial variants not to mention everything else expected to come.
Now I may not be as hardcore and high maintenance as some players but honestly very few weapons have I found to be OP. I just learned to deal. Even the current Flaylock Pistol doesn't bother me. Yes its very powerful and could do with tweaking but I don't even die from it very often. Just learn to deal. LAVs running you over? I now equip AV nades when I see more than 2 on the field.
The other "core shooter" mechanics are fine as well in my opinion.
For months and months countless great ideas and suggestions have been talked about on the forums. But from what I see very very few of them have actually seen fruition. Instead every update we get consists of changing some sounds, changing weapon ranges, some new, colors on a vehicle, or tweaking various aspects. Maybe we get a couple new weapons and suits which is cool. But at the same time you make things hard for the rest of us players who don't want to play assault. The lack of attention to non assaults is noticeable and frustrating. We need tools, and weaponry for every class. Where are the specializations and the command suit we have been waiting for.
I am an old vet from the days of swarm launcher spamming and when the heavy was a god on the battlefield. (Really old) In all my time playing this game I have had faith but even I am starting to grow weary. There has been major improvements since the beginning but the game is still missing 70% of what people came here for.
CCP please just focus on getting content in the game and worry about balance and things afterwards. Otherwise we will all go gray while we wait for the ability to pull out our Caldari Gauss Rifles equip[ed with a silencer and night vision so that we can infiltrate a pirate base and rescue some corporate bigwigs. |

There are people working on balance, others that do textures/art and others again that do backend codework and so on and so forth. People can not just start doing a job they are not trained in.
Not doing balance means that the balance team/s have nothing to do, not that anything else gets done quicker.

At the same time, having just plumbing and electrical aint that great without walls. sure, its nice to sit down and drop a deuce but having a bunch of people in a line without any walls staring at you while they wait...
Basically, core gameplay is great and all but now that Ive got all of my skills (relative to my specialization) at level 5 theres really not much else I can do besides start specializing into something else... Logi is cool and all but I would like my Gallente Heavy.
And while were on the topic - theres no real sidearm that benefits from the Gallente Assault's skill bonus. So, whenever they implement the Ion Pistol, Ill be very happy to put it to use.
but yes. New content -and- balancing/working game mechanics please. |

I was all ready to disagree with the OP....
but he's right in some ways.
CCP promised us the world and gave us an island
and while im patient and realize we will eventually get all the content, they haven't even got a lot of the balance right thus far.
hell even their balance of balance and content is unbalanced....
its a shame...
but you must be patient OP,
CCP said they had a 5 year plan so give them 5 years....
that doesn't mean you have to sit here and wait.
there are plenty of other great games coming out and CCP seems content to let you sit in the MCC to earn your sp to remain competitive when the grind gets monotonous....
what else can I say... they are a company of snails and turtles, just look at the development of EVE for the proof....
I sympathize with your plight but you will not sway them. they have a plan and it will unfold in a time frame of their choosing without much influence from us.....
