I usually lone wolf when my other corp members are not online, which is often considering I'm in an extremely small corp.
I just don't trust random logi-bros to back my heavy up so I tend to snipe instead when I want to play infantry, and I don't trust random blueberries in the slightest when I'm tanking and the only HAV I want within 200 meters of me are those in my corp.
Sometimes though when I'm in a good team instead of hit-and-running with my HAV I instead drive in their midst. If you give me solid infantry support, I'll give you dedicated heavy artillery support. |

I lonewolf a fair bit because most Infantry don't help me out in a tank anyways, theres still an idea around that a tank can function by itself, and that a single AVer is no worry. Why waste my time coordinating with people who don't want to coordinate?
So I sit in scrubby locations, firing a railgun at people. |

If I find a cooperative armor tank I follow him with my logi and try to surpress any AV I see.
Sad thing is, most just ignore the fact i'm there and speed on down the road by themselves and die |

Sad thing is, most just ignore the fact i'm there and speed on down the road by themselves and die The last 3 HAVs I tried supporting had extremely stupid drivers
First one: armor blaster HAV. Drove out into the middle of nowhere, and shot at a railgun installation at the edge of the blaster's range. The railgun won, then shot me when I tried escaping
Second: shield rail. Drove into CQC trying to shoot infantry (I got 2 kills with the turret, the driver got none) even when the shields were completely down, they wouldn't retreat. I got killed trying to repair his dumb ass.
Third: armor blaster. Tried blowing up a CRU that our team would be better off with, so I went out and hacked it. Instead of waiting for me to get back in, the driver drove away as I got killed by nearby infantry which the driver didn't even look at. |

These days I mostly lonewolf if there's a trick or technique I want to try out-- something kind of outrageous that I don't want too many witnesses to. I'll probably be trying a plasma cannon scout fit in the next few weeks (for stealth + maximum light weapon FAZZZOTT) , and you'd best believe I'll be running solo for that fit's first night on the town. |

Tech Ohm Eaven wrote:First I really like my Corp. and running in a squad is good times but then sometimes I have a massive headache from looking at advanced carbon fiber foreward swept wing/fuselage/engine design (hobby).
Then its Advil time and I am unable to take any sound on a headset so then its sounds off and single running in a militia or starter fit.
Lonewolfing can be fun sometimes and then sometimes:
i.e. killed a Madrugar and the clowns inside then I had four Madrugars hunting me and the blueberries either left battle or ran and hid and I called down a free jeep and three Madrugars went for the Bolas kill so it drops on a fourth Madrugar and those clowns died and boy!! were those tank folks upset!, angry!! and they hunted me every domination match I was in that day...lol.
Plus lonewolfing is good for installation kills aka isk grinding.
Just waiting for new content.
So why do you lonewolf? I lonewolf when I've had a long day at work and just want relaxing matches when I'm in a squad its always trying to best eachother |

If I'm going to fight against randoms I think I should play as a random too. I even downgraded to standard gear for fairness' sake.
I'd be more interested in squadding up if I could play with squads against squads, in an otherwise casual environment (read: not planetary conquest). |

It's also good to lonewolf, because you can hop into a match and hop out if it looks like a bad blueberry line-up. Check rosters for both sides, and determine if its going to be a good fight or not. If the sides seem even, you stick around. If you know you're about to get stomped, you bail before it even starts.
When you lonewolf you can match hop a lot faster, instead of waiting for people to back out to MQ. |

I found a fun corp for a week that actually had some level headed people in it. Neanderthal Nation. Sadly, I left because.. why corp, I could just squad and have same effect.. and I don't care for PC until it is something better than a glorified isk faucet with more meaning and depth |

I run as a logibro and i like to help random people. I kill their enemies, revive them, rep their armor, give them ammo, feed them, clothe them, put a roof over their head and sing them a lullaby after they stand on a militia grenade. |

I lonewolf, because there I play in the mornings. My regular squad-mates are either asleep or at work. I find the rest in corp insufferable. Back when we had a lot of people actually playing the game I only acted as a lonewolf when my earpiece had to recharge. But I've got a corded one now (with a 6' USB extension) |

I don't squad up for a few reasons. Here's a list in no particular order.
I didn't see the squad invite.
I did see the squad invite, but i remember the name of the sender as a jacka$$. And so, I will not be joining anything they are connected with.
I have been in squads where it was no different than running solo, except I gave some knucklehead the chance to call in orbitals. And screw that. Find another source of WPs.
I'm going to snipe.
I don't want company or complications.
I should probably say that I do give any squad I join a chance. I don't just just quit cause they aren't doing what I want. But if there's no body backing anybody up. No team work, and no real sense of working together. What's the difference between that and running solo? I miss being a part of a group. I was a member of a squadron in a WWII sim for a along time, and it was great. So I will probably will be looking for a corp to join. Just not right away. |
