Yun Hee glances at Denak. "Well ... your neighbors are friendly, at least."
She turns, resuming her seat.
"Um ... about what you were saying, before: please do not take my words as reflecting on your remarks on GalNet. Banter is ... not so important a thing." She pauses, drawing a slow breath.
"Insight is. The search for understanding-- to see, clearly, our place in this world. It is at the center of my faith. Before, I sought to explore-- to establish, really, a new path. I somehow ... convinced myself that my insight was keen enough, and that I was honest enough with myself, to guide others.
"If I were Amarr, I would have been a heretic. Since I am not, it's a little more subtle, but my work was destructive in a similar way: I was right enough to be truly, horribly wrong. The 'path' I laid out led into desolation. Perhaps that was the only way it could have led, but even if that is true I should have been marking it with warnings instead of way marks.
"Fate has been kind enough to grant another chance. I must not allow my pride to cloud my sight again ... or to poison others' understanding." |

Denak grins briefly, nodding in agreement to Yun as they both take their seats on the opposite sides of the desk. Listening to her words carefully, nodding slowly. "I see your point, but I am curious. What were you trying to guide others?" he asks, looking into her ember eye with curiosity. |

The blue mask looks away, the single eye seeming to examine the paintings on the wall. A long moment passes before the wearer speaks again.
"We are not the first infomorphs to walk New Eden, Mr. Kalamari. But ... as of yet, we may be the least compromised.
"If a soldier is so poisoned in spirit that he does not care whom he kills, or how, or how many, we call it a sickness. But suppose almost all soldiers are likewise poisoned? Suppose he is estranged from all humanity as his heart grows ever colder, ever more distant-- and yet he continues to be valuable, and continues to be rewarded, for the services he provides? Suppose his immortality is a reward, in effect, for doing these things? Is it still a sickness if the sickness is endemic, tolerated, even valued? Perhaps this is not sickness, but metamorphosis? Perhaps this is what he is supposed to be?
The mask's eye returns to regard Denak.
"One should not expect a farmer to pursue a soldier's morality. To what standard, then, should we hold a monster? What is the correct path for a useful demon to walk?
"In another life, that question consumed me." |

Denak simply listens to her rhetorical questions, constantly glancing at his helmet, scratched, battered and occasionally burnt from the countless of battles it had survived through, even the visor had a crack. "I, I understand your point Yun, those questions have pondered me aswell. But maybe they can't, or aren't supposed to be answered." He replies after a small pause, letting out a brief exhale.
"But you didn't come here to discuss about that. And while I understand your doubts about running an emissary of your own, I still believe firmly that you would be the most qualified person for such a task." He notes, looking at the paintings again. One of them was very recent, a picture depicting the life on the battlefield as a clone soldier. "You might have failed because you were blinded by your pride, but I believe you can learn from that experience, improve on your mistakes and try again." |

Her reply, again, is soft.
"You ... misunderstand, a little, Mr. Kalamari. Those questions are very sadly not hypothetical-- and, happily, they are not yet for us. Perhaps they will never be.
"If they never are, if we are never anything darker than mercenaries-- which is plenty dark, really-- that will likely be for the best."
She sighs, twisting about to glance over the back of her chair into the hall before settling back again.
"I apologize for being cryptic." |

"And while I agree, I find it alarming how many other clone soldiers I have talked to only care about their ISK, or show blind allegiance to an empire or a race just because they have been told so."
Shaking his head, he gave her a small smile.

The suit's head cocks to the right. The translator's voice, though still soft, takes on an eerie sing-song, no doubt faithfully conveyed note for note from the dropsuit's occupant.
"What do all sane spacers fear, Mr. Kalamari? What raids datastores, crushes fleets, burns habitats, shatters stations? What bathes in vacuum as though it were a fresh spring morning, wears a weapon of mass destruction like a surrogate body, and stalks its own kind along with its victim's luckless servants for no greater purpose than the pure delight of the hunt and kill?
"What creature is so toxic in its doings and influence that the baseliners name it 'God of destruction?'"
The helmet tilts to the other side, tone flattening even as it intensifies nearly to a hiss.
"A capsuleer, of course." |

"The pod interface and clone soldier implant are incompatible technologies. They occupy the same portions of the skull-- and, in our case, appear to fully replace parts of the brain." She pauses a moment, mask impassive. "The author of those works was a capsuleer drowning in poisoned icewater, like so many of her colleagues.
"Of course, 'incompatible' is not quite the same thing as 'non-transferrable.' But I am not the person you see there. That person, a capsuleer with years of experience already behind her who feels the Black gripping her soul and struggles to understand what is happening to her, and what she should do about it, is dead.

Denak shakes her hand briefly aswell, and once the emissary was finally empty, he locked the door, leaving through a backdoor in the office that would take him to his own quarters, having all the accomodations needed for a clone soldier to live in. After Denak was finished writing with his NeoCom, he decided to indulge himself into the Idama culture a bit further. After a few moments, he came across music composed and sung by actual Idama, remembering listening to them as a child in Intaki. Soon enough Idama throat singing echoed throughout the emissary, being loud enough to be heard in the summit halls aswell for anyone interested. In the meanwhile, he just sat back and enjoyed the ancient chanting. |

As the light catches his face, it reflects off his bronze, untidy hair and catches the slight glint of twin yellow halos in his irises, proof of cybernetic augmentation. As he approaches the desk his new eyes were already feeding him logistical information, from stocks in Minmatar space to possible areas of stress fractures in the building's infrastructure*
"Namas! Please pardon my rigging here, last time I entered an Emissary it did not end so well for myself, and that was in an allied faction no less... Please don't take this as a comment towards your own integrity, I simply feel safer if I am properly protected in Summits from now on."

Standing up promptly and giving Galm a welcoming smile, he bowed to him deeply. "Namas sarumin Fae. Juuhnamas Intaki vratraajyavaan." he greeted in his own tongue, tapping a few buttons on his NeoCom. Whatever he was saying should be translated into Napanii for Galm.
"Don't worry about the armor, it's understandable, I heard what had happened in the PIE emissary." he explains, seating himself back on his chair, gesturing Galm to take a seat on the chair opposite of his. "And to answer your question, first of all this is an unofficial emissary, nothing official by the assembly. But I represent the Intaki people the most, since I know the most about them. *Galm bows slightly, then takes a seat, placing his visor at his feet*
"I apologize if you were present for that affair in PIE, nasty little conflict I had. I... Have a soft spot for the enslaved. Sadly, not all went according to plan. Still, I thank you for your understanding, it means a great deal. Now as to why I am here. My mother was a survivor of the Waschi Uprising. That makes me half Intaki, a fact I have not entirly advocated. Still, it is a fact I can not avoid. She taught me the language, and a great deal of respect for the Ida. Now, you are a member of the Intakin Vaatasurone Rymata, are you not?"
((Napanii, translates to Intaki Liberation Front for those that don't know.))
"So my question is, with the Legion keeping peace and Gallente holding place on Caldari Prime, is there any way that as an Intaki I can be granted free movement through the different districts on the planet? I understand that you can not provide any offical statement, the question is purely inquisitive." |

Denak nods in agreement about using a common language, switching to speak Napanii. He didn't actually speak it, but thanks to translator implants and language downloads he had a good understanding of the language, and anything he didn't know how to express should be automatically translated into Napanii for Galm.
"I wasn't actually present there when it happened, but I heard it was really nasty, I hope you are okay." He starts off, the thought of injury turning his focus briefly to his burnmark across his right cheek, before looking back at Fae. "Yes, I was recently accepted i to the corporation." He also adds following Galm's question, listening closely to his inquiries.
"And if you're speaking about the Origin planet((aka. the Intaki homeworld)), the problem is that it is located in lowsec territory, outside the jurisdiction of CONCORD and on top of that is part of the territory conquerable by the Empyrea War militia. They've struggled getting necessary supplies to sustain themselves, that is why the ILF was formed. But anyway, accessing the different districts isn't going to be a problem, that I can arrange fairly easily especially if you have Intaki heritage, getting there is the difficult part." He explains, tapping a few buttons on his NeoCom to display the current supply routes going into Origin for Galm.
"With the ILF regularly dropping cargo with necessary supplies for the local officials to grab and distribute, you could be placed into a cargopod with special cargo that needs artificial gravity and oxygen to stay good, that is how I got access planetside. Or alternatively you could try convincing someone to bring you a shuttle and pilot it into the planet. But if you actually meant Caldari Prime, the same methods work there too." He suggests |

It is a strange thing, I have always felt a need to visit the land of the Raata Empire on Caldari Prime, but I feel no need to visit the Origin Planet of the Intaki. Perhaps it is time I change that."
*Galm taps away on a datapad before returning his gaze*
"Additionally, I have a proposal for you. It is no secret that the Caldari view the Intaki and the Achura as socially compatible with our ideals and faith. With this in mind, I aim to open a nondenominational Shrine dedicated to The Way, and by extension as a hypothetical subdivision, your Ida. I like to think that such a move may inspire newfound goodwill between the Caldari and y-- I'm sorry, our people. What would you say to such an action? Obviously, the Intaki would be free to worship as they please. The concept is less about spreading a false belief like the Amarr and more about inspiring a new common belief that we are all simply viewing the truth our spirituality through a different perspective." |

Denak nods with a small smile, curiously watching Galm's eyes that were constantly switching color, a curious thing indeed for him. "Since Caldari Prime is currently a demilitarized zone, no official military presence should be present there, so they won't really be a problem, or entering Caldari Prime at all really. And if you ever feel the need to visit Origin, I can arrange you a ride there, I could also give you a few language lessons to speak Intaki." he replies, closing the holodisplay with a few taps to his NeoCom with a brief chuckle.
As Denak listened to Galm's proposal, a brief smile appeared on his lips when he spoke of our people instead of your, it was rare to see anyone even related to Intaki around here, not to mention someone who seems to know anything about their origins. "Well, I wouldn't really say that the Amarr belief is false if a little, aggressive, but a shrine dedicated to The Way and Ida would sound great to me. I don't follow the Ida personally, but I do believe in some of its tenets, I would be happy to help setting up such a place." |

Admittedly, I had never even been to Caldari Prime before. I grew up and lived my life almost exclusively in Pure Blind before signing on as a mercenary. Ironically enough, all the contracts that I have fought for the Empires should finally be consistent enough for me to visit my employers!"
*He chuckles slightly before staring off seemingly into space. One of his eyes begins to pulsate red as the other maintains it's gold hue*
"I would love to finally improve my Intaki. Frankly, the most I had ever used it was to speak with my mother when I didn't want my father to hear me. Don't let me fool you friend, that was practically a lifetime ago. Though I suspect with all the instability occurring in the Syndicate these days I may need to know it now more than ever. You never do know when you are going to have a new contract in, eh? Now as for the location of the shrine, I had selected a particular location in the summit already, I will be sure to have it operation as soon as possible. Your help of course, means much more than just an extra set of hands. Hopefully, it can signify that co-operation between our two nations is in fact possible."
*The pulsating stops and he focuses his eyes once more on Kalamari-haan*
"I am sorry, you aren't used to this, are you? I finally managed to afford my own augmentations, I went for a new set of eyes. It is the same technology the Gallente president Roden employs and synchronizes with my datapad. I must admit, I am still getting used to them."
