Denak sets up an emissary of his own on one of the several vacant rooms, being somewhat kind of an unofficial emissary for the Intaki and maybe a little for the Gallente, but moreso for his own use. On the door is the Intaki symbol, and text written below it:*
Denak Kalamari a+¦a+áa+¦a+á+ªa+æa+æa+Ña+ô +ªa+ôa+æa+¦a+û+ª a+ûa+¦a+öa+Éa+¦
Upon entering the emissary, it was quite small and modest considering it was run unofficially by one man due to personal interest, colored mildly and having little decorations. It consisted of a small lobby with one couch made of black leather, followed by a door to Denak's office, next to the door was a button to call Denak. Inside his office was a workdesk with a NeoCom interface and a Gallente scout dropsuit helmet resting on the desk, a bookshelf on the wall with half a dozen books and various Intaki paintings scattered on the walls. Sitting in front of the desk was Denak, dressed a bit more formally than usual, reading through things on his NeoCom, doing the final paperwork before opening up the emissary to the public. |

Denak sighs, looking up at Robert from his desk, closing the display for his NeoCom interface for the moment.
"I wasn't aware the sign on the door said lyaktiktun menactajyl vratraarjyavaan K'Denak Kalamari((private detective office of Denak Kalamari)), I am not a detective." he explains, standing up from his chair and looking at Robert across the desk. "Fett's bitterness at the Federation may be due to the intervention of the Black Eagles, but it is not my duty to find out if that is correct, nor mingle with FIO business. This is an unofficial, personally funded emissary for the Intaki, not a private detective office, I recommend you contact the proper authorities if you want to solve this situation." he adds, glancing down at his NeoCom and briefly at the books on the nearby shelf.
"Now if you don't have something else to say, I have paperwork to do." he concludes, sitting back down on his chair and focusing on his NeoCom again. |

Denak returns briefly after Orin had entered, seemingly unharmed and unaffected by his visit to the PIE Emissary, the knife still tucked on his belt under his belt. "Oh, namas sarumin." he greets Orin upon noticing him in the emissary aswell, giving him a formal bow. "Welcome to the unofficial Intaki emissary." |

Denak smiles politely and nods as he opens the door leading into his office, dragging a chair for Orin opposite of his chair on the desk and gesturing him to sit on it. "They're all replicas of the real thing, but nevertheless inspiring to look at." he comments on the paintings, pulling out the book Vaanin K'Intaki from the shelf and idly scrolling through it as Orin was explaining his business.
"Power and control of what and by whom? I can't really make a stance without knowing what you are talking about exactly." he explains, while placing the book back into the shelf and taking a seat on the chair behind his desk. |

Denak nods, glancing at his helmet sitting on the desk, looking at it for a few moments before looking back at Orin and replying: "My stance on the Empyrean War remains neutral along with my corporation Intaki Liberation Front. The fight over the planets in these regions have been given solely to the capsuleers and clone soldiers, and with my years of observing I have seen that no progress has ever happened with it. Some times the Caldari control nearly all the regions, on other the Gallente. Some times it is a stale mate with each side not progressing at all." he explains, tapping a few buttons on his NeoCom interface to bring up a file, examining it briefly.
"On behalf of me and my corporation, I state that we do not take part in the Empyrean War, since our interests are to gain indipendence to the Intaki Assembly region of space, not to help the Gallente Federation win planets for a few months at best before they are retaken again by the Caldari. However, if I get contracted to fight in it on behalf of my squad leader, I will not back out and continue fighting regardless of what side I am fighting for to gain the ISK." he concludes, looking at Orin to see what painting he was viewing. "Now, is there anything else?" |

Denak keeps his gaze at Orin, his arms resting on the desk. "We are not fighting, that is the key difference. We defend ourselves when necessary, and if or when the Placid region comes open for mercenaries to conquer like Molden Heath, we will do our best to have them in our control." he explains, simply nodding as he leaves the emissary.
"Prataya yavati Orin. Loqona vytavat, spheta uyvat." he tells him in Intaki, before focusing back on his NeoCom. |

Denak was busy reading a book before noticing that someone had entered the emissary, lifting his head and frowning at the Minmatar scout addressing him in Intaki through her arm interface. At first he didn't recognize her, causing his confused behavior and curious. "Kah...? Fiyadka, Yun?" he replies in Intaki, his brains processing the voice that was given through the arm interface, eventually realizing that it was Yun.
"Spra, tah! Namas, namas Yun!" he quickly replies in a cheerful tone, standing up from his chair behind the desk and bowing to her formally, and only then he realized that she was considerably taller than he was. "Welcome to the Intaki emissary, and thank you." he welcomes her, switching to speak in Gallentean, he figured her translator implant would have Gallentean installed so she didn't have to use an external program, he certainly didn't speak Napanii or Achuran. "What brings you here? You want anything?" he asks, gesturing her towards the chair on the other side of the desk for her to sit if she wished so. |

Denak had retained his looks prior to becoming a clone soldier, so he had the luxury of having certain benefits a regular clone soldier did not always have. This all didn't come without a fairly hefty cost though, but at least he could be fooled for a capsuleer among other capsuleers and blend in better. Glancing at his own helmet sitting on the corner of the desk, he seats himself on his own chair, putting his hands together and looking into the eye observing him.
"Well, I certainly see the benefits of a place such as this, some things you can not really express with just words." he explains, while glancing towards the door leading to the summit hallways and switching back to Intaki since the arm interface kept speaking it. "And I like simplicity and modesty, plus PIE has a lot more ISK in their disposal and officially support the emissary, unlike me. I'm just unofficially representing the Intaki out of my own funds and interest." he further adds, glancing at his copy of the Vaanin K'Intaki before fixing his attention back at Yun after hearing her comment.
"Well, thank you. It is a thing that you get used to over time, I still take a few moments to get used to my body when switching."
((Note, downloading an EVE trial, creating a character there and taking a screenshot of it is also quite useful for having a real face for your clone soldier, if you're not interested/can't afford playing EVE)) |

"Yes, that seems to be the case. Generally I have been surprised by the overall quality of our Summit, when looking back at the capsuleer IGS." he ponders, following her eyes over the paintings and decorations. "Although, I am not really here to represent my beliefs, or the Idama, I am merely here to represent the Intaki as a whole, from our policies to our faiths." He also corrects, taking a brief pause to feel over the burnmark on his right cheek, the only distinct mark of his past.
"But, why not set up one yourself?" He suggests after listening to her explaining about the possibility of an Achuran office. "I couldn't think of any other person more qualified than you for running such a place, the rent here is also quite reasonable" He half-compliments and notes, giving her a small smile while his hand tapped a few buttons on the NeoCom interface, apparently downloading something. |

Denak nods as he listens to her reasoning, resting his elbows on the desk. "I see, and you missed the fact that half my comments in the GalNet summit are sarcastic statements and witty remarks? Being aware of your knowledge is not a hinderance to be able to teach or lead others, dilegence is the greatest teacher." he notes, before he heard the door open and Maikyl entering, excusing Yun for a moment.
"Namas sarumin Metsar, juuhnamakol hyevratu kiahm vratraajyavaan." he greets him in Intaki, before starting to speak in Amarrian. "Welcome, thank you for coming. I was merely intending to note the Praetoria emissary of my presence, and that my emissary is now open for visitors." he explains his behaviors in the PIE lobby, bowing to him formally. |

Denak simply listens to her rhetorical questions, constantly glancing at his helmet, scratched, battered and occasionally burnt from the countless of battles it had survived through, even the visor had a crack. "I, I understand your point Yun, those questions have pondered me aswell. But maybe they can't, or aren't supposed to be answered." He replies after a small pause, letting out a brief exhale.
"But you didn't come here to discuss about that. And while I understand your doubts about running an emissary of your own, I still believe firmly that you would be the most qualified person for such a task." He notes, looking at the paintings again. One of them was very recent, a picture depicting the life on the battlefield as a clone soldier. "You might have failed because you were blinded by your pride, but I believe you can learn from that experience, improve on your mistakes and try again." |

After Denak was finished writing with his NeoCom, he decided to indulge himself into the Idama culture a bit further. After a few moments, he came across music composed and sung by actual Idama, remembering listening to them as a child in Intaki. Soon enough Idama throat singing echoed throughout the emissary, being loud enough to be heard in the summit halls aswell for anyone interested. In the meanwhile, he just sat back and enjoyed the ancient chanting. |

Standing up promptly and giving Galm a welcoming smile, he bowed to him deeply. "Namas sarumin Fae. "Don't worry about the armor, it's understandable, I heard what had happened in the PIE emissary." he explains, seating himself back on his chair, gesturing Galm to take a seat on the chair opposite of his. "And to answer your question, first of all this is an unofficial emissary, nothing official by the assembly. But I represent the Intaki people the most, since I know the most about them. Denak nods in agreement about using a common language, switching to speak Napanii. He didn't actually speak it, but thanks to translator implants and language downloads he had a good understanding of the language, and anything he didn't know how to express should be automatically translated into Napanii for Galm.
"I wasn't actually present there when it happened, but I heard it was really nasty, I hope you are okay." He starts off, the thought of injury turning his focus briefly to his burnmark across his right cheek, before looking back at Fae. "Yes, I was recently accepted i to the corporation." He also adds following Galm's question, listening closely to his inquiries.
"And if you're speaking about the Origin planet((aka. the Intaki homeworld)), the problem is that it is located in lowsec territory, outside the jurisdiction of CONCORD and on top of that is part of the territory conquerable by the Empyrea War militia. They've struggled getting necessary supplies to sustain themselves, that is why the ILF was formed. But anyway, accessing the different districts isn't going to be a problem, that I can arrange fairly easily especially if you have Intaki heritage, getting there is the difficult part." He explains, tapping a few buttons on his NeoCom to display the current supply routes going into Origin for Galm.
"With the ILF regularly dropping cargo with necessary supplies for the local officials to grab and distribute, you could be placed into a cargopod with special cargo that needs artificial gravity and oxygen to stay good, that is how I got access planetside. Or alternatively you could try convincing someone to bring you a shuttle and pilot it into the planet. But if you actually meant Caldari Prime, the same methods work there too." He suggests |

Denak nods with a small smile, curiously watching Galm's eyes that were constantly switching color, a curious thing indeed for him. "Since Caldari Prime is currently a demilitarized zone, no official military presence should be present there, so they won't really be a problem, or entering Caldari Prime at all really. And if you ever feel the need to visit Origin, I can arrange you a ride there, I could also give you a few language lessons to speak Intaki." he replies, closing the holodisplay with a few taps to his NeoCom with a brief chuckle.
As Denak listened to Galm's proposal, a brief smile appeared on his lips when he spoke of our people instead of your, it was rare to see anyone even related to Intaki around here, not to mention someone who seems to know anything about their origins. "Well, I wouldn't really say that the Amarr belief is false if a little, aggressive, but a shrine dedicated to The Way and Ida would sound great to me. I don't follow the Ida personally, but I do believe in some of its tenets, I would be happy to help setting up such a place." |

"Yes, I understand the situation, but there's a lot you can do by slipping a few ISK to the right officials, normally no one would be allowed to travel in cargoholds." he explains, before adding: "But yes, knowing at least the modern classic Intaki would be really useful in the Placid and Syndicate regions, learning to write it is a whole different challenge though." he notes, pointing towards the sign on the door which had Intaki written in it's native letters, to most it would just seem like a bunch of squiggly lines and he even struggled occasionally to read it.((Note, you can learn Intaki yourself by going here.))
"And honestly, right now not much is going on in this emissary, I could also join along and help with the construction efforts, just point me the way and I'll be there to help out. Although to note, I don't think a ceremonial outfit and a body armor is going to be really practical during construction." he adds, another brief grin following before tilting his head slightly when Galm began explaining about his eye augmentations. "Hmm? No no, I don't mind them, and I am well aware of the technology, I just find it curious when a man can change the color of his eyes at will. But anyway, if you're going to start learning Intaki, you should start off by knowing the common way to say goodbye." he speaks out, seemingly speaking whenever he got thoughts into his mind, making his speech sound a little jumpy.
He stood up again from his chair, bowing once again. "Prataya yavati, it roughly translates into "until next time", and a bow usually follows. Speaking of bowing, if you didn't know it namas is translated literally "I bow to you", a fun little fact. But yes, I will leave you to your construction efforts if you can manage it on your own." |

"I cannot help but wonder what that Gallentean was on about". He spat out the word Gallentean with a surprising bitter edge. Denak lets out a quiet sigh when the topic was turned back to Aztec, he didn't particularly like the man either because of all the trouble he has made. "I don't know, he is as unpredictable as a p'vamulaavy can be." He replies, a certain angered tone on his voice as he finished making a cup of tea. It was a Caldari tea called Iyen-Oursta, red tea with a slightly bitter taste, and the liquid was a light shade of red. And thanks to the self-warming teacups he had, there was no worry about it getting cold.
"Satja is a mortal, isn't she?" He asks as he delivers the cup of tea to Kador, seating himself down on the couch too at an arms length away from Kador. He wanted to keep a respectable personal space between them. |

His eyes were two dark slabs of onyx. He cleared his throat, tried to loosen his muscles, they felt tight, clenched. He noted that the Intaki had put distance between the pair of them, he looked calm, though he could not tell if this was a ruse or the truth. He could understand why though, under these circumstances distance was necessary.
Once again he shifted uncomfortably. He sipped at the warm flavoursome liquid in his cup, marvelling at how simply the tea managed to soothe his frayed nerves, calming as well as ordering his mind.
Another sigh, this time longer, and deeper than the others.
"I-I'm sorry Denak" his voice was apologetic, and very quiet. " She means so much to me.... I could ...I cannot let anyone know...If they hurt her..." Denak let out another sigh, looking down at the liquid in his own teacup. He was well aware that Satja was a sensitive subject to Kador, but he couldn't help sating his curiosity. That's why he put himself at an arm's length away from the Paladin, in case he would react in a, hostile manner. He also had great respect for Kador, but from the look in his eyes, it was apparent that he could be attacking Denak if he further stirred things up. He would not hesitate to fight back if Kador decided to attack.
Denak shakes his head solemnly, looking back into Kador's eyes.
"You don't need to apologize, Satja obviously means a lot to you, and your reaction is understandable." he assures, stirring his tea with a spoon and briefly glancing to the door where Satja was still fixing herself before continuing: "Kador, if I am being too direct, I apologize. I meant no ill with my question, you are just so, protective over her, so I got curious."
He paused briefly to take another sip from his tea, the slightly bitter flavor sticking on his tongue.
"I assure you, I do not have any intentions to be involved with Satja in any manner, good or bad. Even if you aren't her Holder, in the very least you are her guardian, so if I would ever attempt anything with her, I would approach you first."
Jakar Umbra wrote:"Denak," he says. "I came to thank you for your assistance and want to offer you something to show my appreciation. I can transfer some ISK to the emissary's account if you like."
Denak quickly stands up from the couch upon noticing Jakar enter the emissary, he forgot to lock the door it seems. He greeted Jakar with a deep bow, arms pressed to his sides before he slipped past him to make sure the door was locked this time, preventing any further uninvited guests from entering.
"You do not have to repay anything, I can sustain myself well enough. I thank you for your gesture though, it is appreciated." he replies as he made his way back to the couch, taking the teacup back to his hands. "And welcome to the emissary." |

Kador wrote:Kador nods. "Excuse me gentlemen. I have to sort out our arrangements. Thank you Denak for all you have done for us. Perhaps later we can talk, but for now I am tired. Should you ever need such hospitality as this you know who to call. We shall be there."
And with that he exits the room, casting a furtive, but cold glare at Jakar. Denak simply bows his head to Kador and Satja. "It is not a problem, and I will keep that in mind. Don't hesitate to approach me if you need any further help." he notes as his gaze went over the couple. He seemed stern as always, but his gaze lingered on Satja for just a moment longer. He wasn't sure if she heard their conversation, but with that gaze he conveyed wordlessly that he was aware of Satja's mortality.
When the two left the room, he collected the empty teacups and placed them in a recycler, and setting the ingredients back into their places, humming a small tune to himself.
Jakar Umbra wrote:Jakar clearly wishes to push the matter but decides not to as a matter of respect. "Very well, and thank you." Jakar looks around the emissary once again for a brief second.
"Now, I must see to it that everything is ready when The Hex opens tomorrow. I called in to Duvolle to get the security systems upgraded. Hopefully everything sets up nicely and we have no more incidents of the sort. Denak, thank you once again." He looks at the door, then turns back to Denak, remembering the fact that Denak had locked it. "Umm... Denak, if you don't mind?" he gestures toward the door. Denak tilts his head just a little, he'd think that even if the door was locked, you could open it from the inside still. Still, he decided to not comment on it, instead bowing his head yet again as he went back to the door and opened it for him. "You're most welcome. And the door is only locked for today, just so you know." |

After Jakar left the emissary, Denak slipped back onto the couch, letting out a tired sigh and holding onto his head. The day was definitely something he wasn't expecting at all. His day had turned from a simple visit and a few drinks to treating a wounded man and dragging him halfway across the station to a medical facility, and then serve two guests in his emissary which he hadn't used for ages, it was definitely quite exhausting.
He looked at the helmet placed on his desk, then back at the door, debating if he should head back to his own quarters on the lower level or stay here for a while. He could use a well needed break, but for now he just sat there on the couch, resting his arm against his head and trying to relax for a few moments at least. He still needed to get his clothes changed too, the dark splodge on his coat had definitely ruined the fabric for good. |

When Satja and Kador entered the main room of the emissary, they could see Denak hunched over the desk, his head resting against his arms. He had obviously tried to stay awake the night but failed, as shown by the half-empty cup of coffee on the desk and the NeoCom still open and showing some kind of graph, the pale light of it faintly illuminating the room with a blue glow. He had switched to a new set of clothing though, the old ones half-stuffed into the recycler.
When the door opened and the light from the lobby hit his eyes, Denak started to shift about and grumble a little. He carefully squinted his eyes open to see who was there, adjusting to the sudden burst of light.
"Hrmh, morning.." he mumbled out, reaching for the cup of coffee groggily and taking a sip of it, the liquid was still warm at least. "I hope the chair and couch weren't too uncomfortable." he further adds, downing the rest of the coffee in a swift sip, giving him enough energy to function properly. With a mild yawn and a stretch of his limbs, he pushed himself off the desk to sit straight, closing the NeoCom and looking directly at the two. |

True Adamance wrote:Kador sends a sharp, but thankful nod to Denak.
The man looks tired, this was not a face of Denak he had seen before.
"Denak you have done us a great service." He said, Satja echoing his words. " But it is time we go.... perhaps later we can finish our conversation from the other night. Please either come by the Templar cells, or the Praetoriate Emissary so that I may return the favour."
With that the pair leave the Intaki to his....recovery...... Denak simply bows his head to the two before they make their leave, leaving him to take a few more hours of naps to catch up on some sleep debt.
After those few hours passed, he was quickly up and running in full swing, his first action for the day being to visit Kador and Satja again. He closed down the emissary swiftly, making his way towards the PIE emissary next. |
