Stacking penalty mod for Nth module or rig = 0.5 ^ [ ((N-1) / 2.22292081)^2 ] 1 : 1.0000000000 2 : 0.8691199806 3 : 0.5705831430 4 : 0.2829551534 5 : 0.1059926494 note: modules with highest bonuses are calculated first.
This means that if youre using for example a Ishukone sniper rifle with 229.9 damage the damage mods will give you this much increased dmg: 1st: 22.99 2nd: 21.98 3rd: 15.68 4th: 8.22 5th: 3.17
Now tell me how 3.17 dmg is going to help you. It would be a much better idea to fit another shield extender or a precision enhancer that would give you more tank or make you spot people coming up on you from behind.
Wouldn't 3.17 dmg potentially mean equipping an advanced level weapon instead of a proto weapon and saving yourself CPU for low slots or equipment slots? |

Almost any gun can be fitted when you remove the remotes.
The remotes are there to blow up any remotes I have placed before as a scout or logi and after that to put on choke points or stairs.
With a proto you can add a complex shield extender and some armor.
This makes me sad for my scout suit. Stop it immediately. |

I like to run around with knives/smg when I'm not sniping. Clearing out a point and securing the hack while taking out any re-spawns is fun. What I lament the most is the lack of a second equipment slot; not that I could afford the CPU/PG. Although, I am rather silly and typically run without shields/armor. I figure that any one who is going to counter-snipe me or find me unawares is going to probably win, unless I see them first. |

Yeah, I would really like a second equipment on my scout too so I can use remotes and an uplink. Without extra shields or armor you will be a one shot kill I think.
More often than not, with shields, I am still a one shot for someone rocking proto snipers. I can survive fights well enough, even some sniper shots from weaker weapons, but 99% of my survival relies on out-flanking, out-strafing and hopefully out-thinking and gunning my opponent. I'm doing it wrong if they've come close enough to kill me. It's extremely satisfying to be able to out-flank a guy who was just coming at me and head shot him. |

The most satisfying, so far, would probably be nova knife kills. Especially if they're AR'ing and I'm managing to avoid the shots. Man, if I had a better NK I would have so many more epic kills. I should spend more SP on them. |

Yeah I know "lol fatty I can see you" but thats what I want.... shoot at me so I know where you're hiding so I can pop you in da face! Good luck getting past my ~1300 ehp before I take you down. sounds menecing. Will a heashot due? Literally, come at me bro (no seriously, my profile scanning sucks on this suit and I cant see you unless you shoot me LOL) Well its not that bad, but you get my drift haha. It would take 2 consecutive Thales headshots to take me down in that suit.. and that is easier said than done, weapon has some kick to it. The Charge would also probably do the same, but I dont see myself getting headshotted twice in a row too often unless I am being lazy or distracted lighting a blunt.
You are exactly why I try to run with another sniper. That and it's nice to have someone have your back when your back is protected by tissue paper |

my general style of sniping is between his and the standard scout sniper...of course I also ground snipe, and front line snipe. I generally don't snipe like any other sniper who has posted in here.
Ground sniping can be a lot of fun. I typically try to put myself close to the enemy and if I have to, I'll drop to the ground for some kills. It really depends how the flow of the battle is going. If I find a sweet spot that I can just pick off redberries, that's the best spot. Sometimes, I don't even go for kills. Watching redberries panic when they're hit by pot shots is amusing as well as disruptive to their fighting. |
