Proto Caldari Medium Frame (You need it for the CPU) Charge Rifle Specialist Flaylock Pistol Packed AV Grenades 4 x 10% Damage Modifiers 3 x CPU Upgrades (If you're running low on CPU, which you probably are) If you can fit one or two Range Amplifiers instead without sacrificing anything else, that will help. K2 Nanohives
If you're stacking shields or armor, you're sniping wrong. Flaylock pistol deals with any strays that come up to your position, and Packed AV to deal with anyone trying to rush you in an LAV, you can even occasionally **** with tanks. |

Do the range amps even work correctly? As far as I know, that system is currently wacked. SMG is a good option over the Flaylock, especially with incoming nerfs. Nano's are essential. AV, too. Good overall setup, imho. Although I personally find speed to be necessary, I have outflanked approaching redberries and sniped them as they look around in confusion.
I think the Range Amps thing might be in my head, but when you're left with extra CPU you might as well stick them on, as stacking Armor is essentially pointless due to the reduce in speed, Ferroscale/Reactives will totally hound your CPU and mess up the fitting, you could maybe fit a Basic/ADV Repper on there but it's users choice really, might try out the Kin Cats but I'm stuck with militia right now, the prereqs to even get a basic KinCat is ridiculous.
SMG/Flaylock is also users choice, I used to use an SMG before I specced into Flaylock, I still have SMG rigged up on my ADV fit.

You're wasting sooo many low slots. To those of you stacking 5 complex damage mods: really? the extra 2.8% and 1% damage increase is worth it for the respective 4th and 5th modules? Time to take a good look at the opportunity costs here....
EDIT: keep doing what you're doing, you're making it easier for me to collect those tears of yours
To stack Complex Mods, PRO Weapons, PRO Equipment, I'm not running a Logistics. I remove the CPU upgrades if I can fit something else instead, but last I checked my PRO Medium still needs them, there's nothing else to fit in to Low Slots as a Sniper anyway, Armor is useless, KinCats is a different class of sniper, so what else am I meant to fit? |

Sniper fitting is the only fit I'm running my CPU upgrades on, even at that they're basic (MLT even, I can't remember) and Dampeners are completely useless and broken. |

No more fitting issues :)
Unfortunately I started DUST maybe 2 months ago, and when I first started I didn't realise the importance of Core Skilling, so my Core Skills are a little behind the rest of my equipment, live and learn. Aha, we are aren't we! Snipers reflexes. |

Sniper fitting is the only fit I'm running my CPU upgrades on, even at that they're basic (MLT even, I can't remember) and Dampeners are completely useless and broken, core skills are all sitting at 3 and 4 right now. I would fit 1 complex CPU upgrade, MAX. I run full proto everything with my fit and only use 1 CPU upgrade. Dampeners are a waste of time for snipers as they are only useful in avoiding appearing on the minimap. Since as a sniper you should very rarely be in minimap range, dampeners seem somewhat redundant so you're correct on that point. From this logic range amplifiers and precision enhancers are also a bit irrelevant. I would suggest fitting armour repairers, shield regulators, cardiac regulators, kinetic catalyzers or armour plates depending on your preferences in mobility and HP regeneration... both are useful.
If you'll read my other posts you'll see I've already stated these as viable options, Reppers and KinCats, plates are useless because as a sniper you shouldn't be seen or shot at anyway.
