Instead of having SP be a seemingly random number. Have SP be 3x the amount of War Points achieved in battle. Therefore the people that are farming, get 0 SP because they got 0 WP. The "normal" amount of war points you gain in battle is about 1,500 for the top 7 - 8 people. So that's 4,500, which is about the average already. This will also encourage people not to screw around and actually help the team.

It isn't random. It's 5 SP for every 1 second in battle plus 1 SP for every Warpoint. The only reason CCP does it that way (that I can think of) is so people who don't get a lot of warpoints can still hit the cap in a reasonable manner. The problem is obviously the AFKers and I feel there are plenty of ways to combat the issue.
Even if it isn't fixed completely, if they can make it so annoying and troublesome to AFK farm and still get a decent amount of warpoints that people have to be there for most of the battle anyway, then the AFKers might as well play, and thus the issue fixes itself. |

One way would be to not award WP for being in Safe areas like the MCC and behind the Redline, that way enterprising scouts can go in a kill the AFKGÇÖs. |

i average around 300 wp a game i would probably quit if they did that it would take me the whole week for the cap but where did you get 1500 as average most people dont get 1000 in most games i see |

Then maybe you should work harder. I average about 1000 a game from just playing it. If I play seriously, I get about 1500 to 2500. |

Not a good idea to do this until they have implemented the new matchmaking system, gear restricted game modes, and sp rollover.
At which point getting rid of SP/s in battle entirely is a great idea.
However.. I would argue 5 SP/WP is a better number. Or 3 SP/WP + 1 SP/s. |

I can get 1000 everygame if I spawn in proto.
300-1000 if I go in lower gear. It just depends on my squad and how good I am doing. |
