I have four million skill points and I don't know what to do with it all. I have been using starter outfits since I started the game because I didn't know what to upgrade. Now that i realize there are forums I would like to ask the Dust514 community for a little assistance. |

You have enough to specialize in about.. one weapon, and one suit... as well as to upgrade your general stats to around 3 each ( for armor shield bonus etc)
It's up to you what you put the points into, but you should try the weapons out before committing to one. . I'm not sure how many points you'd need to get into a vehicle though. |

Shield extenders to 5 PG & CPU to 3 A weapon skill to 3 (which ever you prefer) Depending on your play style dropsuits to 3 (for advanced)
Logi (which I play and tend to get a lot of WP with) Need to start trying to get all your equipments (rep tool, uplinks, nanohives/nanites) up to at least 3
scout and heavy I don't play so I'll leave it to someone else to give advice. |

Logibro...and I mean a real logibro, not a Caldari wanna-be logi. You'll help your squad the most that way.
I came from being a scout kniver/shotgunner to Minmatar assault (awesome suit if you love SMGs!) to Minmatar logi. The logi suit is really cool and will net you a ton of WP
When it comes to logi, the Gallente offers you the most slots for equipment, but I prefer the Minmatar because of its speed. Don't like the Caldari due to not enough slots for equipment and because it's the FOTM. The Amarr one is lacking equipment slots too and tbh, if you want a sidearm, just go assault. |

That's the one I play(ignore the avatar). I feel it has a good balance in high/low slots and equipment and like he^ said the speed helps keep the Heavies away. |

Shield Extenders to V is a common early priority for a solid reason, those Complex Extenders save lives. Only two roles that might see it moved to the backburner is Forge Gunners and Snipers who'll opt for damage mods in those high slots instead.
18k points in the first level of Drop Uplink Deployment is cheap and useful. DUs are incredible pieces of kit but fitting intensive, the MLT is 15 PG but the STD only 9. Far easier to fit into a dropsuit.
More specific recommendation is hard without knowing your playstyle to gauge which suits and skills give it the best bang for your buck. |

Concentrate on core skills to start. By this I means skills that apply to any suite you wear. First skills I would recommend are the ones that give 5% bonus to shields and armor. You have enough with plenty to spare to get both of those to 5. This will give you 25% extra shields and armor with no penalties for doing so.
You will want want to looks at getting your CPU and PG skills up. The introductory skills gives you 1% of each per level, so this is not a good skill. Train this up only as much as it takes to unlock the 5% CPU and 5% PG skills, then get those up to 3 (4 is good but may be too expensive for now for you). This gives you 15% extra of each, plus the small bonus from the introductory skill.
Next, pick your favorite suit and weapons - get the relevant skills up to 3 so you can use the advanced version of them. Same goes for the modules.
This should be a good start and should leave you some SP left over to tweek your skills as you see how the suit performs and where it lacks.
If you want, message me in game and I will be happy to help you set a course. Also, you can squad with me and mine and get used to running with a team. If you like us well enough, you are welcome to apply as well. |

when I first started I put a ton of points in passive abilities (core skills) that way u can build up ur skill in the game and get used to it so u can be better if ur not good enough and go proto everything ur gonna lose a lot of money and waste tons of SP
advise? Build up ur core skills (passive shield, armor, CPU/PG), invest in ur favorite gun (just remember they like nerfing stuff and may change how ur weapon can be used aka flaylock users), get advanced dropsuits and modules to be able to compete with others in that order
I am a ground person though if ur going vehicles u need to ask someone else :P |

Don't go Logibro unless you have SP commitment. I'm closing in on 10 million SP, and I still don't have enough for complete proto suit It's going to take me 12-13 mill just to complete it. |

Not trying to sound like an ass but more than 4.4 million. Also you will have to deal with proto and ADV anti-vehicle infantry. But make an ALT tank first to experience tanking in the Academy. Might help you decide just remember after the academy you will get owned. |

Those core skills that benefit every dropsuit are going to be the number 1 recommendation for anyone.
Don't neccessarily worry about skilling into an underpowered weapon. If you have the patience to accumulate 4mil in starter fits (good job on that btw), then you probably won't mind waiting for buffs & nerfs to balance out whatever weapon happens to suit your playstyle. |

If you still don't know what you like, you should do the calsics if you like to stay out of vihicles.
Update you PG/CPU 3 Shield 3 Armor 3 Weapon 3 AV grenades 3
well.... after that try some militia weapons and figure out what suits you more, is you found a weapon, look for the right suit. You can do it like me, I'm a gallente fanboy, I use it only, like in EVE. But this is not objective, it is subjective. |

I would say find your own niche. No one here can truly tell you which weapon, suit, or vehicle you should go for except yourself. Since you have been using starter fits for that long, you probably have a general idea already as to which specialty you would go into.
Just remember that everything we use right now will have their stats adjusted over time. No weapon is immune to routine balancing. That said, if you're going to pick something, you better make sure you love it enough to stick with it regardless of the changes. |

Basically, figure out the style of play you are looking for (can be figured out with militia).
Once you have that figured out, get your suit and weapon for that playstyle up to 3.
Liberally sprinkle SP into your core skills, but don't take anything above 3 yet.
Once you finished you should have a solid base to work from, but with no massive L5 skill sinks. Now build an advanced suit with the weapons and modules you want, make sure everything fits. If not, boost your cpu/pg skills. If it does think about spending any extra sp on either your weapons, or on your tank. |
