Question for those of you with Alternate characters. How do you guys have them setup? Do you have them on the same account and forgo the passive SP gain or do you have completely separate PSN accounts that you log into for them? I want to make a second character for a Minmatar Logi but not sure exactly which way I should do it. Any opinions? |

Separate account but you'll have to wait a couple of weeks to have enough for a logi w/ good equipment.

I have the same because I'm lazy.
One of my alts is pure gallente (running around with a plasma cannon right now; guess it's not really pure until there's a sidearm for it) while the other is pure minmatar (Currently using a MD and SMG) |

Thanks for the opinions everyone. Looks like I will be off to create a separate account later and let it sit for 2 months before I even touch it. |

I have 4 PSN accounts, with the 3 extra being strictly for Dust. There are two reasons for this. First, I'm lazy and have a short attention span. Second, if Dust ever becomes an actually excellent AAA shooter, I'll have three accounts with a bunch of passive SP to recruit friends, so they don't have to start from scratch. |

As an EVE player I of course have my separate account to get me some nice passive SP. I don't have enough time or rather not willing to commit so much time to skillcap, so most of my SP comes from the passive bonus.  |

My primary alt is on this account (a heavy with like 2mil SP that I only really grind on if there's a 3x SP event)
and then I have a 2nd account just grinding passive "just in case" i wanna use something completely off the wall one day. like dropships become viable or something. |

I wish I had more time to play. I still wouldn't make an alt character. I have 12 million SP right now and I missed cap on a few weeks. But if I did hit cap, I still played for the 1000 + 500 sp with boosters on. Every bit helps. I don't want to reskill into dropsuits again when I have almost all the universal dropsuit skills maxed. Even if I went vehicle, that pilot suit will come out one day and I will be all set to max that out as I have a regular footsoldier pretty set to where I like him. |

Seriously. It's not as though there's any limit to the number of PSN accounts we can make, and your game is free. There's no way to effectively stop this practice, so you might as well make it easier. Unless the boost in player numbers from it is critical to half of CCP's job security  . |

I have an alt on another PSN that is used as a weapons testing platform. It is skilled into Heavy & Commando suit, all weapons, and most equipment.
Its literally just a test bed for weapon adjustments before I decide to skill into them on my main account. Dont need a lot of SP to get level 1 in everything and get a feel for the weapons. |
