Many people who suck think they're good. However, my experience with using flaylocks tells me there are many skilled flaylock users, since it's harder than it looks (2m splash radius? More like 6 inches)

I'm pretty proud over a long range mid-air ( enemy suit ) hit, even though I'm pretty sure that was more randomness than skill from my side. But it sure put a smile on my face!

 Fixed.

Weapon is OP, I refuse to run it and it needs a nerf.

you know after giving a try, i say it is OP, but my simple fixes are either lower splash damage(OMFG forum rage trolls hate me) while dropping splash range down on the proto to 1.8m or drop a round from mag size(yes down to two(2)) because it is just to easy to kill people( pshh even you little fast scouts) with this weapon over others once you put a rather small amount of sp and time to adjust in.

Direct:Splash damage ratio should be more in line with the MD, probably.

At the very least they should not be super cheap to fit. 2 PG for proto, really? Also, that ammo capacity... it's around 26 rockets versus 42 or so Scrambler Pistol rounds. More batteries please, CCP!

18 is how many rockets you can carry on the FP, not 26

More batteries please, CCP! This is what I've been telling people. It's not the Flaylock that's the issue, it's the Flaylock spam. Lower the ammo capacity, raise the fitting requirements and the Flaylock will be fine. Let's not turn a fun weapon into another laser.

How are you supposed to know, when the impact damage is little more than the splash?

The only people using the weapon as it should be, are working with the standard & its 1m radius.

i have had flaylock pistol operation level 1 for awhile now but hardly used it.
so for kicks and giggles i threw 2 basic flaylocks on my adv minmatar assault suit

note i only have minmatar assault level 3 and still only have 3 rounds per mag
so its just basic flaylocks nothing special about em no damage mods nothing

and i tore people apart with them and repeatedly went 24-4 22-1.

to me this says 3 things

either the people i was going against where morons

im pretty good with the flaylock

or the weapon needs something changed about it (the most likely)

one of the only things that killed me where core flaylocks or giant swarms of enemy's while i needed to reload both flaylocks

I've heard that LAVs experience some sort of bug to make them easier to shoot their drivers. It's unverified, but a common claim.
