Your attitude is disgusting and contributes nothing to this community.
In fact, the majority of this community contribute nothing.
Yeah I agree.
Most of us contribute nothing and should not play this LOL joke of a F2P LOL FPS LOL MMO LOL game.
CCP sucks at making FPS's and this is one of many consequences of them sucking at making FPS's.
Be mad at CCP not at the ones using CCP's fails to their advantage .
Your are too harsh at assessing CCP's fails. If somebody starts to do new things and "sucks" in the beginning it just means she will improve with time. Not that she should stop doing this "new thing".
DUST game model is somewhat different from the previous old ones. Old ones would sit in developing limbo until somebody decides it is polished enough to show to the people and rip them off they money in the obscene manner. This game of DUST is almost "crowd sourced"
and made on the go, getting better and better on monthly basis while people are already using it. There is more pressure on developers in this new way than in the old way. Whines and curses are inevitable
But it is not mandatory to buy AUR... You can actually play for free... At the price
+1 for keeping it all in perspective.
It's easy for us burnt out beta testers to look on this adventure with jaded eyes.
The development environment for DUST includes CREST, globally distributed battleservers feeding a single shard which is
simultaneously running EVE Online, and all this through PSN. And on a platform new to CCP.
Free high quality voicechat in customizable user created channels - easy to forget those theadnaughts, eh?
Procedurally generated maps based on planetary characteristics, stars and ship brackets in their correct positions in the skybox.
Integrating DUST merc's motivations into EVE is really like making a socio-economic-political RPG FPS lobby shooter - which CCP wants to turn into and open world military/economic simulation.
There are a lot of technologies that CCP are pioneering in DUST and they all talk to each other and CREST.
I'm sure there are big development houses out there who are looking at what CCP is attempting as just flat-out crazy, and not a few of them who would be afraid to take on the challenge that CCP has.
