You know...I would have actually loved to see there be a reward for counter hacking since it gets so little love. Honestly you stand there 2x the time as a hack, to get 0 wip which is ridiculous in itself because you've provided the service of keeping your missiles going. Along with being a massive target for a long time against the ones who did hack it. Though I shouldn't be surprised that this is all about the offense types, not about the defense at all. Seems like CCP wants people to just follow the hound of wip to each new objective that changes on the map instead of holding ground and providing enemy denial. I also felt the installation destroy # is rather ridiculous to be honest.
I truly hope events will be better in the future then these two pitiful events that have happened. I couldn't even find where to sign up for the first event until after the deadline had already happened because of how messy CCP is with their blog postings. On this event it only took about 30 minutes or so just to find out the basic information, really shoddy work.
For this event, no bar counters, no e-mails saying you got 100? I thought this would be a simple macro, something that would not be to taxing on programming. I honestly want to buy the bigger merc packages that Dust offers, but not seeing the incentive to right now, I do hope to see better progress in the future. |

I can't say for sure, but It would be safe to assume that if it pops up on your screen as an assist for the person kill, it will count, vehicle kill assists don't count

The Events are really enticing, but please make it clear next time, whether
Objective Hacks : Does it count when we're doing it on Ambush OMS or other modes? Or does it only count when im doing it on skirmish?
Installation destruction : Does it only count when i destroy Enemy installations only? or will it count when im destroying Neutral ones also?
And also a counter on your progress would be good

It's good to see the Ambush 'elite' farmers playing Domination mode for a change, anyway. I think this mode is the strongest of the game at the moment, with one single objective, unlike skirmish.
What would you Planetary Conquest players think of changing the mode to Domination style for PC? |

There really should be a prize for people who kill 100 vehicles (which would count RDV's). This would give a fun added incentive to get rid of those stinking murder taxies. The prize should be something like a set of AV tools. x50 swarm launchers , x50 plasma cannons, & x50 AV nades would be perfect. |

Went into an ambush OMS just now and several people from different corps were farming a supply depot - hacking it back and forth from red to blue. One of them - mock holiday or sommat came on team chat and told me that they weren't killing, that Oceania was the farming server. That I should leave if I didn't like it.
I went about business as usual killing reds. Then the blues started shooting at me. When a red finally took me out I was revived by a blue while literally surrounded by reds who killed me immediately, rezzed again and killed again 4 ******* times before i shut off the PS3 to escape this broken mechanic.
They were in different corps, with Pradox One being the main corp. Natalie Kush was the Logi aiding the reds.
Some challenge this is...
ProTip: CCP when you create situations where the opposing sides can work together to farm one of your events you ruin the game for those who just want to play the game.

If friendly fire were on in pub matches I would have been happy to sort this out myself, but as Dust is no where near Eve in this capacity I'm left to bich about it here until the event is over. |

im ecstatic this happened to you and I only wish I was seeing more of this... its exactly what needs to go on to **** in the faces of CCP for this idiotic challenge....seriously CCP was this the best you could come up with?....
of course im doing whatever I need to do to complete it because I want free stuffs... and yes im a fan of the game and what CCP is trying to do but that doesn't mean that im not disgusted with the sub par way in which they have handled the development of the game so far or the community... I encourage everyone to stop trying to win and start helping each other complete the challenge and if some honorable fellow like the poster comes along trying to play by the rules, give him exactly what this guy got.... |

Edit: I'm perfectly happy finding some out of the way turret, or CRU or Supply depot and taking turns hacking... I'm also perfectly fine if we get 2 squads running starter medic fits and take turns shooting and rezzing each other... (no head shots so we don't cost someone a suit of they don't wear a free one) |

If you complete the challenges on multiple characters on the same account, you will get the rewards multiple times.

the only part that interests me is that hack assists count and you can do this on multiple characters thank you for that tidbit.
but that entire prior paragraph could have been filled with more usefull info like whether or not neutral turret destruction counts... last we heard was it "should" count.... should is not an absolute.... do they or don't they?..... and do people who legitemitely hacked vehicles before you all removed it get to count it toward their total?.... as for more ways to police farming I have 2 things for you....
1. put more thought into your events.... make them team oriented from the ground up and you wont have farmers
2. if you want them mordus challenge style turn friendly fire on for the course of the event.... |

With such a ridiculously high count for objective hacks and installation kills, (not to mention a SECOND rule change by CCP), plus a ridiculously high reward for completing it (somewhere around 250 mil ISK of stuff), how do you expect people not to farm?
We need either a limit adjustment or a time extension due to all the rule changes mid-bloody-event. |

That's not my normal style of play, never has been and never will be, however after the mess with the vehicle hacks being included, then excluded and many of us not knowing this until after the fact, I am a bit cynical about the whole thing and intend to gain back my lost time hacking vehicles in whatever way I can.
I believe you know the type person I am from my EvE character(s) even though I don't expect you to remember everything I've done, I've just gotten a "case of the ass" over a few things in dust recently that simply haven't been right and I think this has been exacerbated by some of the support replies I've received.
In any case, your attention to the game(s) and the community is always appreciated Eterne.

It doesn't seem like too many players care about the farming. It seems like the event organizers are indecisive and lacking in foresight.
Do my vehicle hacks from before the rule change count?
Will you guys include vehicle destruction in the installation destruction count?
Does destruction of neutral installations count?
Combined with the news about hack assists, the vehicle hacks and destructions would allow for more regular gameplay.
