I am trying to decide , I guess it stops people from having to wait 23 hours for the next battle if they know they are going to take the district. A question I have about that though is: what if you have 101 clones and the next battles starts in 5 minutes, do the attackers get to cap off their 101 clones or is it fixed to whatever you had 5 minutes prior in the previous PC battle?
I too like almost everything they did, except the 5 minute reattack rule. That totally voids out all they have done to help out the small corp, because any power corp can now wipe them out of pc in a night. All a corp with a power team has to do now is attack with 300 clones, win 2 battles and good bye small corp. There is no time to analyze the other teams tactics, or go over strategies in 5mins. If you get stomped in the first game, say goodbye to your district.
This 5 minute smackdown, should not be implemented. |

It also leaves the district that sent the clones vulnerable to attack. There is a push and pull here that wasn't there before. There is actually a reason now to risk sending more than 150 clones to fight, and one of the most important things is that if you no show a district you are going to loose it. In the end you have to win your battles.
Like I said everything they added I think was a good idea, except the 5 minutes rule. Because of that one change this update goes from helping out the little corp that wants to get into PC, to totally making it next to impossible for them to stay in PC for long. Yes you need to win your battles, but allowing you to any time to analyse you attackers tactics? If a corp stomps you with tanks in the first match, 5 minutes isn't even enough time to pull in different corp members, to try and counter. This makes Dust just a little more Call of Duty, less planning and strategy, and more just flying by the seat of your pants. |
