Everybody plays for fun. But my fun is winning and doing well.

People that sit in the redline like the tanking example you made it's frustrating. But there not invulnerable. i have taken out some redline tanks.

This game was fun at first when in the beta and so many new players start to play Dust, but the minute you take a break from this game, you fall behind everyone else and start to get killed more and more. The only way you can make it fun again is buying SP boosters or making up the time that you didn't spent on Dust. Dust to me seems fun, if you are spending so much time on it or if you are always buying SP boosters.

I disagree. I've been her since January and took a break until April. I'm only at 5.8M SP And still do really well in most, all my matches. I have to ACTUALLY pay attention to this woman to stop her from whining about not being "Loved Sensually Enough" and sometimes...I'd honestly rather play DUST.

Not many people have so much free time to be playing on Dust every single day. Jobless or not, some people like to take breaks from Dust and do something else. Dust isn't being made for every single player. Do you think Eve is for everyone? Dust 514 is FPS Eve, it's the same general concept with a different perspective. CCP is not trying to appease everyone - sometimes you just have to step back and recognize that a game is not for you. They're not Blizzard in that they attempt to create a game which will appeal to mass hordes of casuals - that's not how innovation is made. Both Eve and Dust have their issues but it's because of the complex approach that they take with their games - they try to break the standard rather than serve you the equivalent of a Big Mac.

Chess is for some people while others enjoy checkers. Ces't la vie.

Good post Saint, i got your back . Nice to see you are courageous enough to post your honest opinion. Fun for me is geeking out when I get piano breaking sound from headshots, joking during or in btw matches, doing something productive, or going on a little kill streak. Of course once I am having a lot of fun my concentration goes to crap and I start getting beat to hell and back. We just use common sense tactics, talk and play.

Dust 514 is not FPS EVE, because that would mean there is myriad of goals, and countless ways of achieving them. Dust 514 is FPS in New Eden.

Imagine telling a Caldarian that you should let the mercs be. It took a thousand years for man to re-achieve the seemingly impossible again. We have no time for antics on the battlefield. We are either synced as one or suffer to be stuck in limbo as clones foolishly repeat the same mistakes over and over again

Why.......why do people have this thing that they have to try and force others to play the way they want them to play? im talking about you people who use the "this is the way the game should be played" trick. What the hell is your problem? you see some one redlining with a tank leave him be. why does he have to leave that spot? true he may not be useful but at least hes having some real fun. yea yea winning is fun to but when you are forced to play in a way that you dont want to play what the hell is the point? People always bring up skill or honor or all this other stupid crap that does not have a place in video games.i dont know about you guys but when i play i do it for 100% yea ill try and win but im not going to go berserk because i lost a match. Im not going to cry about something as stupid as skill. *sigh* what im trying to say through this pile of word is this. A true gamer does not care about skill or playstyle or honor. he/she does not care about your tactics or what guns you use or how you use them. A gamer does not care if you like to play as infantry only or drive tanks. A true hardcore gamer just plays to have fun. now i understand with pvp its a little harder to do that. Heres a simple answer to that.....ready?........THEY ARE THE ENEMY TEAM IM GOING TO USE THE NASTIEST AND DIRTIEST TACTICS POSSIBLE AND MAKE THEM CRY NO SKILL!!!!!!!

Yeah ok everybody can play how they feel best,but its feels very bad when only 3 guys try to take the objectives and rest just sitting in mcc or redline.But who wins the match if everyone is afk:n and dont do anything?
