Whatever solution they come up with, I hope they don't reveal their formula. That would only lead to more people figuring out a way around it. |

I fully agree, This last week the game has been horrible theres usualy only 3-5 people actualy fighting on 1 of the teams, the rest just sit in the MCC, Sit on a redline turret, or just sit back sniping while the rest of us just get destroyed because we are outnumbered so badly. |

CCP should add a timer given to people in the mcc that counts down to zero and kicks them from the game. When the players are kicked the mcc will salvage the clone and add 1 to the clone count. The timer will last 2 mins and the amount of time you have will decrease if you use to much of it.The time you are able to stay in the mcc can't fall under 1 min, this is just to lower pressure from a timer being too short. Examples: 1)used below 30 secs = no time decrease = 2min stored in timer 2)used 30 secs to 59 secs = 30 sec decrease = 1min 30sec stored in timer 3)used 60 secs or more = 60 sec decrease = 1min time stored 4)used 90 sec = 60 sec deacrease = 1min time stored (1min is default value and can't fall below it) Edit: CCp can split the timer into shorter intervals if they think it's best, a good interval to consider is 15 or 20.The minimum time stored can be lowered as well to 45(15 sec interval) or 40(20 sec interval). |

So, if I decide I've had enough running about the frontlines doing my logi thing and sit back in a turret destroying the constant stream of LAVs or sniping at their annoying snipers I'm not supporting you? Really? What about those new players that just get destroyed whenever they see an enemy? If they can provide support from a distance they can slowly skill up and get a feel for things.
The simplest solution is to give no SP payout for those that haven't earned any war points. |

Maybe, but I'm not sure.
My concern is how do you tell the difference? For example, I may be running full on logistics and see we are being hammered by a sniper. I look on the map and see we have no snipers for some odd reason. Something that has been happening more lately. I switch to sniper to take care of the issue and end up with some idiot blue jumping in front of me, whacking me with his rifle or running me over with his LAV because he doesn't think I'm contributing properly.
Just hiding behind a corner to look at a map or call in an orbital irritates some people because they only see you standing there.
People do take advantage of the game. I still think the only way to filter them out is to set some sort of war point threshold that you need to meet to earn your SP and hope it doesn't hurt the rookies too much.

well earning WP is a is a good place to start the filtering process and it can also include other things like controler activity, map location and your last game played statistics |
