Spent a good majority of today trying out the scout suit and running around with a shotgun.
Multiple times I would point blank shoot stationary targets and not deal any damage. Even multiple shots wouldn't send their clone back to the vats.
It's not an issue of aiming, it's an issue of pellets not doing any damage. I would see their shield light up and I would be about 5m from them. Still no damage.
I can report back with video proof as necessary. |

I doubt the video is required. This has been going on since Uprising was released 14, May. It has varied somewhat but it would be better is an actual Shottie was to respond.
Mass Drivers, HMGs and many AV grenades all have similar issues. Target detection, failure to fire the blasted round even though the clip lost a round. This also has occurred with several twists for HAVs as Rail Guns didn't work initially and I have found several blaster turret installations that cannot hit anything. No shields were harmed in the testing of that blaster, I can say that with certainty. |

hi, we are actually working on a better system of hit detection. and also, we do notice that it is becoming harder for the shotgun to hit a target, especially under an unstable network condition. It would be great if you could provide us with the video so that we can check if the problem you mentioned is identical to the one we are working on. Thanks a lot. |

Just to update, I am working on compiling some footage of these "phantom pellets"
If anyone else has footage, feel free to post so the devs can get a handle on this issue. |

My network connection is usually really stable, and I don't notice much lag. I do notice some frame rate drops like the encounter at 1:48 in the video. Which makes it difficult to aim correctly.
Its a wired connection into a RT-N56U router. I usually maintain a 10-25mbs up and 3-5mbs down. Also using a PS3 slim with a SSD drive.

I just want to bump this.
I play hardwired to best verizon fios plan you can buy and have no lag.
I play shotgun almost 100% of the time and this happens to me ALL the time.
Two seperate things really.
First, when I spawn and fire a shot, it does not deplete my ammo in the HUD... but it does deplete it in my clip. I am unable to reload at this point (no matter how many times you click it). I must fire a second shot, (which depletes y clip and my HUD to correct amount of ammo) and after firing that shot I can reload.
^happens all the time, every time I spawn, the first thing I do is fire two shots and reload to fix it.
Second, its like I am firing blank shots. Some one is standing in front of me with their back turn and I pull the trigger point blank. The shot goes off, ammo depletes, big bank, visual effect of pellets ... but zero damage. This does not seem to happen in a pattern, I have had up to three shots in a row like this, sometimes it happens once and the rest work.
Also, I don't know if this has to do with the bug above but I notice that when I have my screen totally filled up with a player, like we just ran into eachother head on... I miss ... every time. Which is funny because its impossible to miss when all you can see is the person. But I don't know if this is a hit mechanic issue or if its the problem above and I just notice it every time because I know I should have hit them.
I play shotgun all the time and would be happy to offer feedback or answer questions you might have. |

GeeDiiiiky, why is the first thing you DEVs do I accuse us of having poor network connection? This has yet to be the case in any complaints. |

He not the only one, happens all the time to me , with shotgun, nova knives an melee, I run scout an these issues happen EVERY match it's a really bad problem since it happens to every weapon I use! |
