The no respawn is really stupid considering if you know the back story to EVE the Mercs we play were designed to be immortal and have new clones standing by for our consciousness to be transferred into at a moments notice on the battlefield. So no respawn really does kill that aspect of the story.
I would however like to see an option for game modes that do offer Friendly Fire so that people won't just run around aimlessly all the time shooting everyone and everything with out a care in the world.
Also this game was designed so that you could have options when building your character and fully customize yourself. Unlike COD and BF where you pick from a set of presets and everyone runs around as 1 of 4 different people.
Dust is designed for the long haul FPS player not the normal COD console players that enjoy having no options, doing nothing and having no impact on anything but some 10 year olds kill death ratio. |

long haul fps with no ps4 announcement, yep good luck with that, dust will end up with all the poor scrubs that cant afford ps4 and love to play a free game without spending cash, the money spenders will be playing ps4
my point is, dust was kinda advertised as "tactical" shooter, which is it not, and it plays more like cod, except with worse framerate than you on fps'er player would care to admit
to get out the cod position were at, we need some ff and no-respawn, to seperate the men from the cod boys
There is no PS4 announcement because Sony funded the development of Dust 514 as a PS3 EXCLUSIVE to boost PS3 sales so if you want a PS4 announcement complain to Sony Entertainment Corp not CCP.
If you want a tactical shooter with no respawn play Mech Warrior Online (it's glitches are worse than Dust) or Counter-Strike and quit whining and crying about how this game (which is still in BETA) sucks so much because you can't hack or cheat like in COD. The few games that have no respawn are painfully slow matches once it gets down to the last few people on each side and they have a VERY small following. This is simply because people just want to be in the action not spectating for 10 minutes because they were the first to get killed by a sniper.
Besides at least CCP listens to the players and makes changes based on what they say. Unlike every other FPS which just says give us more money, then nothing still ever gets changed or fixed. |

First of all CS hasn't been popular for at least 7 years.
And yes CCP listens to it's players I don't say that to "brown nose" I say it because they do, if they didn't EVE wouldn't still be around 10 years after it's launch. No other game even gives a **** about the players except to get their $$$. I'm not saying that CCP hasn't at times completely screwed up the game mechanics, I know they have because I've been playing Dust since the start of closed Beta.
The point is they take the feedback, requests and suggestions into account when they make their changes, I have yet to play any other game that does that.
It's all about trial and error because in reality that's the only way you're going to get it right when you're doing something you haven't done before. So if you're just going to whine and cry about it then quit playing and go find another game. |
