there is about a 15-20% chance that when you drop an explosive it will tumble and end up in an invalad position and disapear.
standing still doesnt eliminate this issue and it seems it stems from the tumble mechanic that applys only to the explosives and no other equipment.
the fix? remove the tumble mechanic and make it stay flat when deploying like ammohives/uplinks
the tumbling while cool is creating way to many problems without adding anything to gameplay |

I notice the disappearing mines all the time when I use prox mines.
Oddly I hardly ever notice it with remote explosive.
I wonder if this is to do with different mechanics or where I place them. REs tend to be around capture points and prox mines out in the open usually on roads. So prox mines usually get thrown the full distance and REs hit walls and things.
I'd rather they just fixed problem properly. Mines should not care which way they are facing in my opinion. I get why hives and uplinks might care (although I think it's terrible game mechanics) but mines shouldn't.
One thing I would like to see is a way to place the mines at your feet. Something like tap the trigger/mouse to throw (as things are now) and hold it down to place it at your feet. |

Previously stated by Devs, deploying anything must be done on a flat surface.
There is one unfortunate side effect of the new level of graphics regarding this. Several of the maps are not detailed at a level that the user and the deployed items are in agreement. It is common for uplinks, hives, REs and even the humble Prox mine to disappear.
If you have a specific location then a respond in the map feedback forum is more likely to provide a solution. |

a raod is a perfectly flat surface that wierdly enough ends up with 25% failure for prox mines
i once had to drop 11 mines just to get 4 of them to stick on the road
its not a surface thats doing it, its the tumble mechanic.
your condesention has been noted though |

Even when I place the remote explosives or proximity mines on a flat surface it still randomly disappears when they flip on the ground. Standing still does not seem to help much either. It still happens because they don't seem to have any weight and they move like you are throwing a wad of paper lol. The other problem with this is the entire environment is not a flat surface, even some roads are uneven but a slight slope should not keep them from working properly. |

Happens fairly often. Proxies are the worst. It's even worse if they're clumped together. I've found better success with them not disappearing if I space them out by like 15m.
Sometimes I'll just give up because 9 out of 10 will not deploy and move on. |

Agree! I can only carry three, so seeing my lifesaver 3rd RE disappear just as the enemy rounds that corner and riddles me with holes...just, seriously? Proximity mines deployed on a level road consistently disappear on me, sometimes 3/3. REs are slightly better, but still buggy. |

I freaking hate this, they try to flip landing on their sides and just fizzle out...so annonying when you actually need them. At least return it to the ammo count.
I think this could be fixed if they jusy stuck where you aim them. Now I throw my REs behind a corner only to watch it slide 5m into the open giving away my trap...flat surface or not. |
