All armor suits deserve an inherent armor repair, by not having armor repair we are forced to lose 1 slot, and even then 5HP/s is super low, as a Gallente Logistics I have to always carry one repairer or I fear I will be destroyed. So I think maybe 7-10 for assault suits, and 12-15 (This is with the 5Hp/s for logi suits) for logistics suits, and none for the Caldari and Winmatar. This would give armor suits a 60-115 boost in EHP since using a repairer would be a choice, not a requirement. Shield suit aren't required to use regulators, so armor suits shouldn't be required to use repairers. Oh but you guys get repair tools ble ble ble, yeah because soooo many people run around with repair tools actually giving a rat's ass if you live or die.
Although giving us a passive repair bonus makes the Armor repair systems skill useless for some of us... |

Die faster. |

We don't need to make low level armor tanking even worse than it is compared to proto. I dont use Gallante. I would approve a inherent 3 hp/s for every gallante basic and assault. And 1 for logis gallantes.
Thats a pretty low number, that HP/s only tickles. Specially a Logi Gallente suit which has the lowest survivability of all suits. |

Specially a Logi Gallente suit which has the lowest survivability of all suits. 1st off, thats not true. 2nd of all its not at all little: At 3 HP/s a simple complex regen (that at level 5 gives +25 efficiency to armor repairers) you get 9.25 regen per second. That and you can still equip a second complex armor rep for 15.5 HP/sec (Thats more than the Minmatar regenerates SHIELDS per second) or a Reactive armor plate for 11.25. Logis could easily achieve 13.5 per sec with a simple complex armor rep and their bonuses.... The Armors are supposed to give MORE of it, but slower regen. I guess the REAL problem is they DONT give more than shields and if they do, they make your character turtle....
Umm wat? 3 x 1.25 = 3.75 not 9.25?

So gallente light Frame giving 1HP/s per Level and Gallente Medium Frame giving 1HP/s (and of couse the upcoming heavy as well) This bonus should be applied to all suits of that given Framesize. That way the skill is at least somewhat usefull beyond level 3 and this bonus would not come for free.
To balance that thing I would like to see the following bonusses tied to the other Races frame size Skills: Amarr + 3-5 % Dropsuitarmor (they should tank through HP) Caldar +3-5 %Dropsuitshields or Shieldrecharge Minmatar +2% Stamina, +2 Sprintspeed, +2 Staminarecovery
That way every faction gets a unique flavor tied to their suits and you have a reason to skill up the frame size skills.
That would of course require a change in the current t2 suit bonusses If you're giving Amarr logis bonus AHP, , they'll need to be along the lines of 20% per level with no additional speed cuts to have them truly effective...
25% at max is pretty good... 100% is overkill. |

But when looking at the cal logi I see where you are comming from. Any good ideas how to buf minmatar and amar suits? Give Minmatar an efficiency bonus to biotics modules and Amarr a bonus that reduces the movement penalty on armor plates. The minmatar assault is possibly one of the most balanced suit in the game. Its bonus to sidearm clip is interesting and not OP. Why change it ?
The Minmatar assault suit is possibly the best suit in the game, not OP best, but just best. It has fast tracking and movement speed, amazing stamina, and can max around 800-900 EHP. If I had a respec that would be the suit I would run. |

What do you mean by resists? Damage type resistances, for instance if an amarr suit which has a base resist bonus is shot with a mass driver or flaylock, it would deal closer to 100% damage instead of 110%. Unfortunately I don't have the numbers for a proper bonus so my first thought would be to make it 4 or 5% higher than the armor of other suits.
No suit has resistances actually, and since CCP hasn't actually added proper resistances except the two we know of it seems like it's just to hard for them to code, or to intensive to implement. |
