If we got the option to redistribute SP from heavy suits as the rest become available I'd be a happy Dustbunny. If not I'd deal with it and spec into Minmatar in addition to Amarr. Partly why I'm only up to ADV. It suits my purposes, with the concession of only having a basic Scrambler and no grenade it can fit two complex dam mods with an Ishukone Assault Forge. Going Proto for what would likely become my third choice didn't appeal, began the branching into Minmatar Logi instead.

If CCP refuses to offer GM Assistance with switching your Amarr heavy (or Minmatar / Gallente scout) skills for the proper basic racial variants are released, it will essentially be CCP spitting in the face of its customer / player base. If they wanted to go the extra mile, they would replace all suits in your inventory with the proper racial variant you requested to be spec'd into. CCP has proven they are more than capable of this with the negative ISK debacle of Uprising. It's the only logical approach, other than instantly refunding the SP put into those suits upon their release. Anything else would be madness, and this certainly isn't Sparta :/

Once they come out with a new suit. Your not the only one wondering about a NEW heavy suit. Its sad. There has been alot of heavy threads up in the past few days.

You look like a noob. Just a friendly tip. Forge gun sniping is the lowest of low way's to kill. Get a HMG in your hand and use the forge gun for AV. I dont need a NERF on my AV gun because of players like you. If they nerf it. Ill just use proto packed AV all day.

After the second respec went Dren Sentinel. To this day a much happier man having zero skill points in dropsuits. Holding off on Heavy dropsuits skills until CCP figures things out. Everything is way too up in the air right now for commitment on a DS that I may not even be playing a year from now. Might spec into minmatar logi to make the old Sever BPO worth it.

I got the respec as well, because before that I wasn't going near any HMG with a ten foot pole. I've actually been doing better now since the new update. Some of the module combinations have really done it for me (wont say what they are though, I like that HMG is a niche role now) but I definitely took most of my SP and dumped it into biotics. A heavy that can't move is a dead one. I tend to just use the basic Heavy Machine Gun for cost purposes in pub matches, but I have developed a very cost effective lvl 1 sentinel suit that does very well. It's only because I worked on my suit more then my gun. All enhanced and advanced modules. I have a 1.37 K/D ratio... Not that it matters... But it has been rising since the respec and last update so I think Heavies and HMG are viable. I used the Forge Gun pre Uprising, but I like to be in the fray making a difference. I pack AV nades for my LLAV friends and my worst enemy is a scout behind me with a Shotgun. Darn Vermin. Lastly, I'm in love with the flaylock. It gives me the range and damage CCP took from my HMG. So I can push back groups with some team mates without getting muscled by AR. All in all, I say we are balanced. Reasonably. All heavies have to really pick a role and skill well into it. My role is to dodge fire, and clear out room for my team to step in. If I'm solo dancing though, I expect nothing less then a stray bullet to find me. That is all. -Bazookah (HMG for life)

However, I got to level 5 yesterday and skilled into an ADV Amarr Medium basic along with ADV Scrambler Pistols. My proto Heavy is on hiatus until there is something else I can skill into for it. Until then, my "Gunslinger" (dual Scrambler pistol fitting) is now my main.
