So this is a fictional story, based on true in game events. I hope you enjoy!
The night was young, i was looking for some action, and not with some women. But i am getting extremely bored of tearing up my enemies with my boundless from the ground. I hit up one of my friends, he pilots a Dropship. A Eyrx if my memory serves me right. So i start a conversation with my buddy, (his name is Captain, but i call him Cap)
"Hey Cap wanna make some isk with me?"
"What do you got in mind N1ck?"
"I thought i could gun in your dropship, for some battles, i'm having trouble sleeping on these beds, there just so small."
"Ya i hear ya dude, these beds suck, and i'd be glad to be your pilot dude."
So i began by making a squad, soon after he joins it, were in battle, i told him about my liking for cycled missiles, he just happens to have Advanced missiles, so he puts them on, we see our battle zone, i decided for the time being i just wanted to slaughter some fools, so were in an ambush.
The map Seen here is a great battle zone for a dropship.
Cap tells me all about his Dropship, about the mobile cru, the ability to take swarms like a boss because of his 3000 shields. I'm gonna be honest i was impressed, he is clearly skilled in Dropships. I am feeling quite confident.
My confidence kept rising, after i spawned with my ishukone Forge gun, just in case we landed on a tower. We spotted 3 enemies about 30 meters away, they had there back to use, a Bolas was already inbound above them, we decided it would be safest to eliminate the threats before calling a dropship. After i quickly eliminated one of them with a shot of my forge gun, and another with my Advanced Flaylock, and my buddy Cap with his, Carthum Scrambler rifle, we decided it would be safe for a drop ship now.
It arrived, just in time too, those 3 enemies came back for revenge, we got out of there flew around a tower and flanked them, three easy missiles kills for me, Militia gear doesn't stand a chance. After flying around for about 15 seconds we found a group of at least 6 enemies. Would have been easy but i spotted a Forge Gunner.
"Enemy forge gunner below!"
"I'm turning so you can get a shot"
after 2 well placed missile bursts to his chest the forge gunner was down, and we were at 1500 shields. I started raining down hell in my dropship. Kills were being racked up, they kept spawning on an uplink placed around the corner.
"Cap good piloting but i just killed like 4 of them, i expect heavy AV resistance soon."
"Roger that"
Heavy AV resistance is right, while we were raining down missiles on the enemies heads, a forge gunner and his swarm launcher buddy snuck up to a tower on the right of us.
We were too low, to dodge the first forge blast and swarm launcher missiles. of course that only took us down to 1200 shields. I laugh at standard gear, but Cap wants to play it safe. After all it is his ship, so we hide behind a building. When are shields came back, we took off Cap flying as fast as he could. We stayed low to avoid detection from the 2 AV players on the tower.
When Cap got really close to that tower, we started our way up. I can just imagine the look on there face when we got there.
I blasted the swarm launcher guy first, he is the weakest, then i started shooting the Forge gunner. He was trouble to take out, he got 2 hits into us before my Pilot had a great idea.
"N1ck i'm gonna screw with this guys head"
"Whatever you say"
We flew down and as quick as captain could we appeared on the other side of the tower, the forger was still looking down at the other edge trying to find us and finish us off, we were down to our armour after 2 hits from him anyways. He was no match for the missiles especially since he didn't even see us.
We ended up winning the battle with 27 friendly clones left. I got 18 kills and never had to respawn. I finished top of the team and thanks to a defend order, great piloting and a half decent gunner. Cap got 2nd on the team.
