To see all these good players resort to using the flaylock...im not going to name any names, and this is more of a general statement, but there are so many people who were good with an AR that just got sucked in to the flaylock fad. It makes me sad to see a person on the other team that i know it would be a fun 1v1 (had we ran into each other) against spam flaylock rounds at me before they start shooting their AR...if they even shoot their AR at all. Its just disappointing. Does anyone else feel the same way? Or is everyone kinda content with playing flaylock514?

People can't help but use that OP weapon to get them kills.

Personally i hate all OP weapons e.g. forge, flaylock...

And some people just love following trends, you know them ones because they have it out 24/7 trying to shoot you across map or when they spawn they switch to the flatlock they make me lol

lol yea the best is when youre 1v1ing somebody with ARs...and they pull out their flaylock half way through their clip because they are about to lose the gunfight.

Considering that for a good solid couple of build cycles the game has been AR514. I actually happy that people are not sticking with them.

Considering that the game classified as a FPS...i would hope a large amount of the player base would be using Assault Rifles/HMGs. It isnt a FPGL (First person grenade launcher)

I never think bringing "noob tubes" into a FPS is a good idea. BF3 was littered with them, and it took something away from the game. Dust has done the same thing. One guy was telling me you can get one of the proto flaylocks close to 300 hp in splash damage when you put damage mods on.

I honestly don't blame people for using them, though, because they're part of the game. Heck, I tried out the regular one today to see what all the hub bub was about, but I absolutely sucked at it.

im gallente scout so i know the flaylock pain more than anyone...they 1 shot me :(

Tell me OP, why do you use the AR in the first place? Because you want a challenge? No, because if that were the case you'd try to make the Plasma Cannon or Lasers work. No, you use it because it is the best gun for killing the enemy in the majority of situations.

Now the Flaylock (for the moment) is better at killing at certain situations (extreme close range combat). So they are using it for the exact same reason you use the AR, because they want to kill the enemy as quickly and efficiently as possible. Can you really fault them for that?

So please get off your high horse. You're not gimping yourself by using the AR over the flaylock, the AR is still the best gun in the game.

Are you trying to say the FP isn't broken and people aren't just taking advantage of it?

Your words of had a lotmore impact if you weren't from a corp who spams the weapon as there ONLY weapon when it's a SIDE ARM. At least AR is a main slot weapon...

Glad to say Teamplayers doesn't exploit them. I notice alot of LoI though.... well not sure anymore now that OH is gone but I have seen HS use them dual style.. Even a member in this thread talking about using them. In Regnyum's defense he is working on it. Meaning doesn't use them yet. You do have to fight fire with fire though. Taking on corps that all have FP is not fun believe me it's overly challenging and frustrating.

Oh come on, where were you people throwing down your TAR's in disgust, disparaging people for 'exploiting' its brokenness. You weren't doing that, you were probably using them just like everyone else. The Flaylock is no different, its just a weapon that is good at the moment and probably on the chopping block for a nerf. Calling it an 'exploit' is dumb, I'm just playing the game.
