I prefer the Wirykomi Triage nanohive. Its not hard to tell what you do cause i do it aswell. 1vs1 engagements= proceed as usual 1vs multiple enemys= throw armor repping nanohive on the ground and scream: "come at me bro!"
It works really good espacially since you can swap to equipment and weapons faster then before. However this tactic is not n00b friendly cause it requires situational awareness. But yeh a gallante suit sitting on a nanohive is dangerous and very effective for defensive gameplay. And because 99% of the comunity who charge you when shields are down are getting a nasty suprise. Espacially cause your HP regens even in a firefight. |

If it requires nanohives it a bust, the reliance on the hives being around is too great, you wont be about to move with the team if you neeed to change positions(which happens often) |

I'm inclined to agree w the topic, but not completely yet. Shields will have an advantageso long as the Galenteracial bonus boosts shields instead of armor.
I'm pretty sure I've got what Aldin is talking about. Near 700 hp, proto ar, sidearm, nades, and hives. Its a tight fit foe even my 18 m sp. I guess newer characters can suck it? |

Just use the K17/D. It's not as viable as the fit that Alldin is talking about, but then it is an adv suit with adv gear, it's not meant to be. Also you need to know how to set up your armor. There is a trick to it. And it still requires quite a heafty investment into engineering and electronics. |

I have the k-17 unlocked but I am struggling to find the fitting for it. |

Cat Merc wrote:Until you give us the fit what you say has no meaning. Besides, if you do get the same HP, you're either slower than a bag of bricks, or can't regenerate or regenerate so slowly that you need to wait in cover for half the game.
Also, anti armor weapons do more damage and are easier to use against armor than anti shield weapons against shields.
So 500 Armor HP < 500 Shield HP
So much this. Only way to make it effective is to use ferroscales and go to the nearest supply depot to regenerate armor. But Caldari doesn't have to do this, so Caldari wins.

Just look at the speed numbers when your equipping your plates. Play around with it. I'm sure you'll catch on quick. There's a good thread about shield Vs armor in the feedback/suggestions section of the forums. Try giving page 14 a read. |

Replacing one repper with a ferro makes very dependent on that nano. But I will give it a try. |

Auto regen > needing a hive / armor rep
OP's suit is a situational suit, and might be suited for PC games, point defense. Anything other than that, i.e. slayer role, no. Caldari is still better on that front. |

It's situational but still a slayer...
I just need to go back to the nanohive from time to time when under 70% health. |

I will likely spec into caldari if things don't change soon.
I've mentioned this before in that thread you mentioned earlier but I feel like going all buffer is like a having a death clock over your head. This too feels the same, you can only carry so many nanohives and after that its only a matter of time before you are killed. That doesn't feel right at all. |

it didn't really prove which suits were better, just shield>armor.

All aboard! Logic train is a' rollin'
So if shields>armor, then armor tanked suits would be? Better? Worse? Same? Made delicious candy? I'll let you work it out. Hint: It's the candy.
