does anyone else feel that increased CPU cost as well as reduced shield HP is an even balance for only 18% faster shield regen rate than a shield regenerator module?
honestly i was expecting it to cost less CPU than a shield regulator because it is drawing power from your shied energy rather than your dropsuits regular power supply, or is it just me? |

Oh i fully agree the mod is worth it, but i just kinda thought sacrificing shield HP would relieve a small amount of the other item requirements not add to them...
but w/e just a thought. |

I was actually using them on my Gal Logi, before they added a SP req. -Made my shield recharge close to an basic suit. -the penalty affected my already tiny base shield less. -had nothing else that could fit in those high slots (no left over PG)

Dude, really, have you seen the new plates? Those gives less HP than shield extenders AND use a fuckload more pg/cpu than normal plates. |

I'm not saying they are underpowered, I'm just saying "I think" that it has too high of a CPU requirement thats all... |

I am a shield user but looking at the stats of those modules they would definately benefit an armor user more, as the penalty would be less and taking up highslots doesn't hurt your armor tank like you said, how do they work for you? |

the shield penalty is miniscule... actually fairly well balanced imo. its 33% more effective at proto... you are trading CPU cost for shield penalty... otherwise they would have to be something like 130 CPU to remain balanced. |

they do not trade CPU cost for HP penalty, that's what I'm saying they should do! currently they cost MORE CPU than a recharger and have a shield HP penalty. |

yes but a complex energizer is almost 50% more effective than a complex recharger. So if there wasn't a shield penalty... they would have to be around 130 CPU to remain balanced with rechargers.
but they only cost 96 CPU, so the trade off was 6% shields for ~34 CPU. |
