Who says we're getting ADV and PROTO tanks? So you think they'll never ever add them in? Vehicle users will be stuck with standard vehicles forever? Actually, you're probably right. Same goes for racial suits. How the **** does CCP expect to balance **** when they go ahead and change the paradigm so completely and so randomly? LMFAO your choices matter You're really actually worried that now you won't be able to solo tanks with cheap AV grenades. LOL |

LOL Only some of the worst tank drivers in this game get solo'd by AV grenades :/ I'm sorry you suck but think you're good, it's ok bro Doesn't matter if you're Takahiro or me; apparently you've been on the receiving end of AV grenades, so you should know damn well how stupidly effective they can be. If you're ignoring previous experience while tanking, then I think you're a damn idiot. |

Pilot suits - 10% module cooldown rate per level Gallente - +2% shield / armor extender efficacy per level Minmatar - +5% turret damage module efficiency per level Tbh, this should help quell the "GIB ME PROTO TANKZ NAO" people. -10% cooldown per level sounds OP as hell. Would make the best tankers invincible to all but coordinated double OBs. The racial bonuses seem fine to me. As for the complaint about SP: It'll take 1,517,280 SP to get Pilot Suit Level IV. Because of the way suit bonuses work, you'd be able to fit milita modules to the cheapest, most basic Pilot suit and still get -40% cooldown and your pick of +8% HP or +20% damage. Seems like an incredibly reasonable SP investment to me. Were I specced into vehicles, I'd be salivating right now, not bi**hing. It is a SP sink that is not needed. sorry most tankers are ending up dropping 16m plus if they want fully speced out enforcer set ups. Once other tanks come into play meaning just to get Speced into one races tanks tank drivers will be dropping 24m plus SP to fill out a single race. So yes needing to drop another 2.7m SP into a pilot suit just to be a top dog tanker is a bad mechanic. And on top of that it creates more balancing isues what CCP is already having trouble with. But we really don't care about the enforcer. It's literally useless, as the best way to tank now is by rail, and neither racial enforcer gets a bonus to rail. Caldari gets a bonus to missiles, and Gallente gets a bonus to blasters. Why have to go up close to use a blaster when PRO AV grenades are so easy to get? It literally makes no sense. On top of that, rails and blasters get a natural bonus against shields.
To top it all off, the last week they're doing that competition, you get a Falchion and a blaster. LOL They don't know what they're doing regarding vehicles. |

You're annoyed because it's yet another thing to skill into? I honestly wish I had the same problem. Commando isn't 1/1000 as interesting looking on paper, and it sounds like even Rank III of Pilot Suits (820k SP to get from scratch) is still gravy.
It may be just because I'm a fattie, but I'm hungry for gravy. I'm the DUST masochist, I went AR Heavy because scouts are ****** and I had to skill out of dropships because I almost broke my controller in frustration. I went from loving dust to HATING it with Uprising, I'm only sort of getting over that, but it's not going so well. I'm not annoyed that they have something else to skill into, I'm annoyed that they can skill into something that completely alters the entire vehicle vs AV paradigm that's already shifty at best... You mean the easiest forms of AV being so devastating to the best type of tank, armor? |

DUST Fiend wrote:Spkr4theDead wrote:You mean the easiest forms of AV being so devastating to the best type of tank, armor? Swarms are primarily effective when you break cover, which you should be skeptical of doing when not pushing with your infantry anyways. AV grenades need to lose their seek and maybe a tiny bit of damage, otherwise, roll with a squad and communicate with your gunners. They're one of your first lines of defense against AV grenades. Believe it or not, while the HAV can be a solo death machine, it's actually supposed to require a little bit of communication to get the most out of it. AV nades require you to get up close and personal. If you let them throw all 3 before you or your gunners kill them then that's on you, not them. Why does everybody fully believe we only ever run solo without mics?
Assume a brain. Then assume a competent tank crew. Then, we can get to specifics. |

Is your problem with the SP it will take to unlock pilot suits? The 190k SP it takes to get Gallente Light Dropsuits 3 to unlock the pilot suits? Because any SP put into the actual pilot suit skill is just like any SP put into the Vehicle tree because the pilot suit buffs vehicles and vehicles only. Or do you just not want any more skills to improve vehicles with? Because, you know, it's wrong not to be able to solo vehicles with militia gear. |

If that's the case then I don't see why you have so much issues with AV grenades, since you should be in communication with your squad and gunners, and should be advancing on the enemy with a buffer of infantry between you and them. My usual squad is me, another tanker, a sniper, and various infantry levels. Why should I listen to an infantryman about how to run a tank operation? |

#Freexprotoman23 #FreeWickedGlory #Booger4CPM #Phantom4CPM You're a ****** that nobody likes, posting in a thread about a suit that you're not going to spec into, which further enhances a field you have no desire to specialize in. So, why are you here and why are you talking about me? Why is my name in your mouth? |

You're still pissed off that tanks will be more difficult to destroy when we get the pilot suit. Like I asked before... is it because they'll be harder to solo? |

No, it's because they won't die, and only bad players will manage to lose them. This will also create a MASSIVE gap between newer and even mid range vehicle pilots vs "vets" No option exists in the game currently that creates a gap like this. Sharpshooter used to, and was promptly and rightly removed. The real question is why do you have such trouble operating HAVs as is, and why do you need such a massive buff just to function? *face palm* |
