I know us armour users got the short end, and commandos seem pretty week but overall itis a really good patch that did so many things right. Bollox ... they didn;t do the 1 thing that needed doing above ALL ELSE .. FIX THE MATCHMAKING SYSTEM ... it's absolutely appalling !!!! Not a single new player will stay and play this game the way the current matchmaking system is set up .. 800k sp v people with full proto gear .. facepalm ... no one will stick with a game getting facerolled for 6 months b4 actually being able to do anything, SP events need to give more bonuses to new players .. giving ppl with 10m sp 3x more sp the same as ppl with 800k sp is pointless the whole issue right now with this game is the unbalanced matches ... im getting tired of constantly getting facerolled even in a squad .. i get no enjoyment out of winning when i die 9 times and get 0 kills because im completely outclassed gear wise by my opponents .. im really really not enjoying this game at all right now and im giving them 1 last update chance to fix matchmaking b4 i leave which is completely fair ... i dread to think the amount of ppl who dl the game and quit within a week because of the matchmaking If you go 0-9 in a squad, it ain't your gear. Just saying... Yeah stop complaining dood. It does stink at first, but is satisfying to crawl from the bottom to the top knowing you had to die a few thousand times to get there. Every player had to do so. I've been playing for 3ish months and constantly get top 5 or better in pub matches. Maybe it's not your gear indeed. Back on topic, can't wait to try out the update. Only hearing good things! I try not to complain too much about things like this, but I have to agree that there is a major balance issue in this game. I will go ahead and say that I truly SUCK at this game and I feel sorry for any team that gets stuck with me. The problem is that this is my first fps. I would like to get better at this, but it is rather difficult when I find myself against seasoned vets and find myself dying before I get a chance to join a firefight. I have improved a little by just sniping (I have the most fun on the game when engaging other snipers with my bottom of the barrel militia sniper rifle) or sitting out the battle altogether when I am in a horribly unbalanced match and getting a bit of practice in during the rare even matchup or if it is unbalanced in favor of my team (even then it is difficult to practice since I hardly get to see an enemy before my teammates wipe him out). When last I checked, I had pushed my K/D ratio up to 0.46 which is a very nice improvement over my 0.31 that I had after a few weeks of play. I honestly wish there was a practice mode where I could battle A.I. enemies with an adjustable difficulty, doesn't even need to have sp or isk rewards. I just want a place to go hone my skills so that I can someday be an asset to the team rather than a drain on the clone reserves. I am sure that will never happen though since the Devs have their hands full working hard on the rest of the game.
I feel you. It's not easy to get good at any FPS especially one like dust that is so unforgiving. Try going logistics or anti-vehicle. My piont was, personally I enjoyed matching up against vets for two reasons; 1) the off chance that I killed them & 2) the appeal of being like them in their fancy pro suits. |

hell yea, OP! I had a similar experience, then was promptly curbstomped in my next match, but then rallied to win our PC battle a few hours later!
The aiming seems so much smoother, and doing glancing damage even at far range was awesome! Keep up the good work, CCP, and don't break what you fixed (you had a bad habit of doing that with controls in the closed beta). |
