I tend to get bored with this game.
A lot.
So I do what I do within EVE, make a terrible fit and see how well I can do.
For extra spice, I use prototype gear. (In EVE I use officer gear)
I have done it for months and I'm running out of ideas.
My favorite so far:
Assault gk.0
4x Complex armor plates
3x Complex Shield extenders
AV grenade

Back when we had them I'd shove a load of Nanofiber Chassis on a Madrugar or Armour LAV, with added Nitrous Injectors and go back to the future.
The LAV would spiral out of control whenever I turned a corner at top speed though  |

Back when shotguns had range (Chromosome) and worked (again, Chromosome) I ran a Heavy Shotty a little. A few Kinetic Catalyzers...

My main Proto Minmatar Scout with Nova knives and Shotgun.
In a game where every weapon has beast range, even sideweapons (Flay...) and 80% of the games i play are open maps,At 320 HP my main is a joke.
I do better with a Milita Amarr Heavy and a Gek...Kid you not. |

BPO sidearm **not used** but it is "necessary"
some kind of AV grenades.
Try to get kills against infantry by suicide bombing, over-cooking the av grenades. It tends to confuse people if they watch the kill report, its hard as hell to do, but its fricking hilarious. |

I wouldn't call it a joke fit, but when I need even more of a challenge and want to fine tune my skills and maximize my adrenaline flow, I go with minmatar militia light frame, 2*militia scrambler pistols, militia kin/cat, militia stamina mod... no EQ, no nades.
120 shield, 80 armor, no shield extenders, no armor reps.
Nothing but six shooter (I'm not skilled in pistols) gun-slinging, bullet dodging, space cowboy awesomeness.

I occasionally bring out a Militia Caldari Medium Frame with:
x2 Complex damage mods
x2 Militia SMGs
That's all. Nothing else used.
It is an awful fit, but an enjoyable one. I'll have to try it with two militia Scrambler Pistols, too. |

I don't consider this a joke fit but it does make me laugh and giggle every time i use it which is just about every match.
Minmatar advanced medium suit (basic)
2x light damage mods (complex)
2x armor mods (standard)
ELM-7 Laser Rifle (thats right my favorite weapon)
Submachine Gun (Advanced)
Compact Nanohive (not sure if you guys know this or not but it actually heals your armor just doesn't show up on the minimap as a healing hive)
I usually do very good with this fit, usually end up going 15/3 varies from map though. Plus I just love giving people a face full of hot laser. |

Logi BPO suit with All BPO mods (shield tank, kinetic cat), basic Mass Driver (I know!) and basic and advanced remote explosives with BPO (Templar) drop uplink.
I call it jihad fit (hi, NSA, Pink Floyd had a better prism, by the way), because I run into the middle of enemies, drop RE's and blow myself up. If I can, I sometimes setup ambushes (hence two different RE types), but suicide exploding is more fun. Especially when taking out protos. Drop uplink helps you get back and blow more people.
Hint, hint. You can often trigger explosives AFTER you are dead if you had them out when you were killed. Makes for a very nasty surprise. Also, it is fun to leave some standard (basic level, save advanced for taking out enemies) REs around your uplink. If it disappears, blow them up.
Main thing though - it is fun. Doesn't do much for your K/D ratio though :P But fun can't be quantified, and K/D is silly. |

And I love taking out a Protoscrubs with this set-up. Bet it makes them rage and contemplate how this could happen. |
