Sure, it looks pretty now, but it'll have it's own forum full of complaints and complainers, just like Dust does now, as did every game before, you'll see.
Don't get too caught up in the hype. Remember how awesome and revolutionary Dust looked way back when? I'm sure many of these same people promoting PS2 were doing the exact same thing for Dust on some other game's forums a couple of years ago, and will probably be doing the same on Planetside's, eventually, as soon as the next big thing is announced.
What you see during beta is not always what you get in the finished product. Quite frankly, I'm a little surprised that I even need to say that to this crowd. You should ALL know this by now, and be managing your expectations accordingly.
(I know this comes off as pretty cynical, but I'm tired off seeing people repeat the same behaviour with every new game that comes out. If I can discourage just one person from creating a "New game X is going to kill this current game" thread in the future, then my effort was not in vain) |

DUST never looked good. But neither just PS2. It's just amazing how much better quality the game is when they're sort of advertised to be similar games. Jaqen Morghalis wrote:

Everything is WAY beyond beta.
I think you missed my point. I was not comparing PS2 beta to Dust beta, I was attempting to draw a parallel between the two games, at comparative stages in their development.
People hyped Dust pre-release on other forums, and now complain about it post-release.
People are now hyping PS2 here pre-release...
Do you honestly think that it'll be any different? Because it won't. People WILL find things to complain about in PS2. People are ALREADY finding things to complain about, you just either don't see them, or chose to ignore or marginalize the issues, because you're distracted by all the pretty new shininess being dangled in front of your eyes.
