Guys never mind these numbers. Everyone knows the numbers are higher on weekends, I mean what possible reason could we possibly expect to see a larger volume of players in the middle days of the week compared to the weekend day. I know i cant think of any |

Yea it's always been low. Just because it goes under 5k doesn't change the fact that anything under 10k is low especially for a F2P game. |

With people playing games like the last of us in some of there spare time, the numbers will drop.
There gonna drop regardless, but i don't think they will drop to dangerously low levels.
I expect them to raise soon. Especially on july 2nd |

Player numbers always seem lower right before an announced patch.
Still, I'd prefer if it was over 5k right now. We might almost get down to the pop of the "largest" PS2 server. |

The problem is other F2P games have tens of thousands of players on constantly. Just look at any popular F2P game...i.e. League of Legends, Dota 2 (right now they have 125,000 players on and its still in beta and is a true F2P game where the only thing that is paid is cosmetic equipment/clothing), World of Tanks (although it is on the pc, it does almost the same thing as Dust, however, they do it better and have a tremendous amount of people on constantly as well as a presence on Twitch and an Esports side).
CCP needs to get their act together. It's great they released that dev post, however, I highly doubt they will follow through as is evidenced by previous actions. Unfortunately we are at a cross roads, where Dust is almost dead and CCP needs to decide with to do.
Maybe they should shut Dust down, spend the next six months tweaking the game and improving on its current state, and not worry about bad press, players complaining about problems as well as other potential negative outcomes. In fact, CCP could save their game if they shut it down and recreate what they have.
Dust has potential, but unfortunately at this point in time that is all Dust has, the dream that it one day will be amazing. The problem is will there be any players left when they finally get things right? |

Even if dust has 1k players it will still be up simply because EVE makes enough money to support both games development. |

Which is really sad and shows that CCP only cares about making money and that Dust really is just a money trap, something for them to suck money from the hardcore players and reinvest that into Eve. I really hope this is not the case, but it honestly is starting to look that way. |

Dust is looking more and more like a mini-game of EVE... that requires a PS3. |
