Shotty GoBang wrote:Terrible lag today. Every match I've played. Smooth sailing up until I get close to someone, then frame rate plummets. Nothing new or different on my end.
Observation: Reinstalling Dust does not address framerate drop.
Yep, already reinstalled, no good, but it fixed the problem where DUST would crash my PS3. The lag usually wears off on Saturday.
Oh, and I'll just leave this here;

What am I supposed to run to impress you then. Nova Knives also. Im not stupid enough to bring a knife to a gunfight. You are one of the reasons why my squad thinks they should give an IQ test before your allowed to play Dust.
Perhaps us Nova Knifers need to show this guy what an experienced Nova Knifer can do?

So I tried the new fit out - scrambler pistol + knives. Fail. Will try again tomorrow, and refuse to be disheartened. I haven't figured out how the hell to use knives properly yet - sneaking up on ppl is easy kills, but in a battle with someone? Hmmm.....I really missed my shotty. Must...try...harder.
Also suspect I forgot some scout tactics and made bad engagement choices....or it could be it's only Thursday and the try-hards are still around capping.
Nvm - try try again.
[Edit]
Actually it wasn't all fail - headshot OHK in one Ambush ----- CLANGGGG :D <----- why I love the Scramber pistol
For 1on1 NKs fights I would say you're better off running, but there are players out there that I've seen pull it off against Meds, but they're very experienced Knifers. If you feel you must fight them, then charge and jump at them (Do a running jump), try jump to their side and rotate your view accordingly, so you're not jumping right into their gun.
If you dont want to 1v1 them, run, and hide around a corner (Make sure its not near an installation, or objective, those things can scan you, they have a Precision of 0db), charge your knives, and pop out and knife them just as they're about to turn the corner. Ishukone should one kill them, depending on their buffer, ZN-28s might take two swipes.
Its also important you learn the maps inside out, for those quick getaways, so hop into an Oceania server, and just adventure around each facility, finding useful areas, and shortcuts.
Its what I done for about a week, and I found a way up to an area in my Scout suit, that was only accessible via Dropship, until I found out how to do it using 1337 parkour skills.
