Count me among the scouts. I'm new to Dust, (4.5 million SP and just under a month playing.) I run a scout more than 50% of the time and will run it more as I skill into it more and develop more skills. One things for sure, as long as I play Dust, Scouting isn't a thing of the past. Killing proto snipers behind the red line is as good as 10 regular kills in my book, even if it calls for suicide. I like the thought that a sniper can't feel safe once he gets close to the line, primarily because of us.
I am addicted to hearing that headshot sound.
Currently running a SG/SMG, working toward SG/knives. 2,548 lifetime kills And counting. |

It's awesome how ppl like you can carry on with the title of scout. i can just imagine you sitting back in your chair, sipping your cup of green tea, thinking,"we did well...we did well..."
It's gonna' be a fun run. (Scouts honor)
Thanks for the welcome. Here's to many good battles in the future, and, if I see one of you and turn the other way, it's out of respect, not fear. If you shoot me in the back, well... Once bitten.
If I fail to turn the other way, it's only because I was consumed with blood lust and didn't even stop to look at the name.
Now, off to the back alleys and shadows of New Eden. |

I recommend you invest heavily in precision enhancement then, 'cause your sensitivities won't stop me from popping a hole in your sniper skull if I get the chance. If I get my way, it'll startle you so much you'll drop your controller too.
You go right ahead and shoot me from behind the redline too if that's your pleasure. It won't hurt my feelings.
I snipe too occasionally with advanced gear, and mostly in the hot zone.
Hurt feelings in a combat game never have impressed me much, nor am I inclined to cater to them. False expectations are little more than premeditated resentment. |

Feel free. It's a game of killing and dying. I'll be happy to congratulate you... If and when you do.
I use the same name here as in the battles. I should be easy to spot. You go for your shot at 5m and I'll go for my shot at 5 inches unless I'm skilled up in knives and there's no distance at all seperating blade from throat. Hopefully it will all be in the spirit of a good game without petty resentment.
Giving the benefit of the doubt i will assume you didnt miss the main point; snipers with brass enough to step up to or over the red line don't get to sit back on their haunches in safety and thats beause of us scouts. Anybody choosing to get all constipated over that just provides me humor.
