If you like one of the sheets, let me know! You can add me as the only one to the list dissatisfied about the fact that the lore and fiction of DUST is as neglected as it can ever be. EVE has gained numerous new chronicles to explain the story behind the new expansion, and last time we got even a hint of lore was in a chronicle published almost a year ago.
Seriously, the Intergalactic Summit was an afterthought done by CCP after endless pleading and requests, and it has descended into a pit of noobs who have no clue how to actually RP(that's not really CCP's fault, but still).
RP in DUST is pretty much pointless and not supported by CCP, and that makes me upset.

Don't know if it's the same lad Jaceon Pale Eye around the scout parts he's the newest Bastard and is an Eve RPer Good people as Bastards go In that case, no I haven't. In all honesty, I've given up on RP for DUST completely, as well as logging into the game in general. I only write fiction now when I feel like it, and I don't really see how it would make any difference if a single EVE roleplayer joined the crowd.

You should definitely meet him. He's read your work. I know that, I just updated the roster myself. I guess I could hop in game to have a chat if he's up for that.

Also, I just realized that Jaceon is Havohej, we talked for a while in NN in-game. He runs [url=backstage.eve-inspiracy.com[/url] Backstage, the prime OOC forum for EVE RP and added the DUST section in there partially due to my influence.
He's a cool guy overall.

Neat that we got a proper dev reply, thanks Rattati! And welcome you all newcomers, do stick around for a while for the free beer and to enjoy my seldom posts writing fiction and enjoy your stay!
I'll leave the actual balance discussion for the others though, I haven't played DUST for too long to have any clue on the current balance of things, I was never really the one to comment on such things anyway. I'm just happy lurking and randomly commenting on random subjects (and shamelessly self-promoting my fiction).
Come to think of it, I wonder what would all the people in this thread be, if this were to be an actual fine establishment run by Shotty...

Seriously though, I'm interested to see how the election will turn out, guess I'll look into the candidates a bit more even.

That'd be civil, but it's pretty much guaranteed not to happen. Brawls are the norm here; words are seldom minced and punches seldom pulled. If a regular thinks you're wrong, he'll call you out. If you don't take kindly to being called out, try harder to not be wrong :) The point is that i'm obviously only here because of the blue tag, but i simply gave my feedback, like i do in many other threads. I play most of time as scout, i use EW and of course i'm interested in what will be the evolution of my role, all the community should be involved in this discussion. I've posted here and i've been personally attacked for no reason and i can't bear it. If we're being honest here, most "old-time scouts", are bittervet elitists. Yes, that includes me. But that's what makes the scout community fun, when everyone can be elitist together and scoff down at the FoTM chasers equipment spammers and tourists.
I may or may not be joking. I do not take any liability for damage caused by this statement
And further, the whole exchange between Shaman and Spademan is a collective headbutting of egos and silly, in my opinion.

If you need a beta code let me know. It won't be the same as fixed PC, but it might help. If you can get in the PS store to download it apparently. That would be really, really, really, really, REALLY great, if you can do that.

I won't get home til about midnight, unless I can access it on Bungie at some point before I get home. Either way I will get one to you somehow, unless another Bastard gets to you first. DPLAK I really appreciate it regardless, thanks! It would have been nice to get the code before heading to bed though so I can leave the game downloading overnight. Guess I'll just wait and see if my non-existent alt inbox is going to get filled with Destiny Euro PS3 beta keys when I check it tomorrow morning.
*cough cough*
Anyway, you can drop the code in my DUST mail, or the email I've posted on the NN thread, both work fine.

Do you have an email I could send one to now? I just found another place to get a code and downloaded the client, so no need anymore. However....
Frigging marionberry error. I've probably restarted my game ten times now, restarted my router twice, even tried messing with the UDP ports and resetting it to factory settings, but it still shoves the stupid message in my face.
I'm just stumped, no clue what I should do now. Anyone can help?

Okay, I got the game working and I played Destiny pretty much the entire evening. I maxed out at level eight and was apparently locked out from the rest of the content. To be honest, it feels like a glorified demo and not an actual beta, like with Battlefield 4 and 3.

Spademan wrote:After getting some proper playtime in, I can now give a bit more of a review.
What I expected was an exploration game. Where you could travel the vast wastelands of earth, discovering what happened whilst fighting off the new, monstrous inhabitants of the land. I don't feel that I really got any of that.
Story: It started off promising, but then turned into "Generic SciFi stuff happens because space" Gameplay: Decent, nothing special. A bit too slow for me. Weapons: Some pretty interesting stuff, like the Fusion Rifle and Pulse Rifle. Only problem is Handcannon A is the same as Handcannon B, only B does more damage. There's almost no reason not to use the latest weapon you get. PvP: Don't bother. Seriously. Bad mode is bad. Bad level design is bad. Bad pvp is just bad.
Level cap is 8. Kinda disappointed at that, especially since I've found a bunch of stuff for level 10 and upwards. It doesn't feel like there's anything too explore. Everything's just there. There's no feeling of vastness, 10-ish people are just shoved into the same small instance. Maybe the full version will be better, I don't know, but I don't expect much to change in 2 months.
Final Verdict: 6/10. 80% Underwhelming, 20% as expected, 0% pleasantly surprised. I cannot justify spending any more then maybe Gé¼20 if I were to buy it. I did a bit of exploring on Destiny, and really all the areas seem kind of the same. It's this big open area with three or four sidequests available which revolve around kill stuff, go to a place and kill stuff and take stuff from the people you killed. It's all pretty much the same and gets dull really fast. There's no feeling of vastness when you can explore the available map in about 30 minutes.
And again, this doesn't feel like a beta, more like a glorified demo designed to attract attention and getnmore sales. If they really made this a beta, there'd be no silly level cap, all content would be accessible. How can we give feedback properly and make Destiny an avtual good game when 90% of the content is locked out?
Anyway, I'd be happy to have some friends to play with on the PS3, you can find me as NikodemosTheMan.
