Just checking in here finally.
Scout since Chromosome. With the first Uprising respec I chose Mini scout. I ran dual SMGs almost exclusively in Chromosome and I'd like to think i was a decent example of scoutliness.
Unfortunately the Mini Scoutsuit and I just did not fit. So with my second optional respec I went Caldari Assault with kincats and tried to make it a beefier scout........
I hated it.
So now I'm back on this character after an extended hiatus. I skilled up to Advanced Gallente Scout and I'm loving it. My stats are as follows and i can comfortably say that 90-95% of the kills are from my earlier scout days and not the Caldari suit.
WP 270,315
Kills 3.369 Deaths 1.262 KDR 2.67

Ok, this is not bragging I promise (because i know many of you pull these off a bunch).
But this is why I play scout. So much adrenaline! I had to take a break for a second because my hands are still shaking!
Just pulled my best game ever as a scout. 29/2; 1935 war points in Gallente FW
Running the following:
Gallente Adv Scout $23k
Basic Scrambler Rifle Toxin SMG M1 Locus
Highs: Complex Shield Ext Enhanced Light Damage Mod
Lows: Enhanced Armor Plates Basic Reactive Plates
Also, first time I can without a doubt say I was solo orbitalled. I parked in D on the map with the giant orbital cannon about 1/4 of the way into the match (they were closest to D) and held it solo for 95% of the match. Pulled off a couple of defenses against 3 guys at a time using my mobility.
So much fun.
Had to share that and you guys are like my family on here. |

Fair well brother scout. I took a couple month break and it did wonders for me. PC had burnt me to a crisp after the first couple months and 150-200 matches. I've definitely been enjoying it since coming back because I avoid the current broken PC mechanic.
Be well! I'll roast some red berries in your honor! |

It has been an honor to serve you, and I wish you all the best of luck in your future endeavors.

It won't be the same without you. I love this thread and I read it daily.
I'll miss seeing you on the battlefield brother. Hopefully they'll finally get everything together and you'll have a reason to come back....and be willing to.

Hey Shotty
Please unstrike my name. Up to 4600 kills roundabout since you listed me here at 3600.
I'm scouting every night even when I almost break my controllers out of frustration.
Thanks again for everything!

Love nomming on fatties in my dragonfly/K5.
I'm going to cave his watermelon head in and then fly off on his Gatling gun like I just won a Quidditch World Cup. |

You guys have it sooo good on fitting. it's crazy. I'm tossing anything I want on this bad boy (almost- but certainly reasonable)!
I put this fit together so far-
1 shield energizer 1 complex dam mods 1 enhanced ferro 1 basic reactive Exile toxin SMG flux active scanner
Shield energizer on a Gallente Scout? What is the purpose? It does not even make a difference in time to full recharge.
Agreed. Odd choice.
I run one enhanced plate and one basic reactive in my lows 99% of the time |

Little extra armor and way less CPU/PG than a enhanced Repper. Works for me |

This is an excellent idea! Super secret hangout, level up! Alts apply to Nos Nothi <--- translation: "we bastards" :-) This way we can keep our progressions, builds and tactics safe from prying eye. More importantly, keep all our sh*t organized! It'll be like our first house in Skyrim! Edit: Ticker ... EF.EZ mwahahaha applied!

I can't believe it's finally happening.
CCP has unleashed hell on medium users.
We were already a pain in the ass, especially together, now I'm going to troll the hell out people in my Gal scout.
I would like to take a minute to say I also vote/agree with IWS being awarded a title!
Mostly though I would like to take a minute to raise a glass to Shotty for all of his hard work and encouragement for the cause. You've been a friend to us all and I'm glad that you stuck it out long enough to see your hard work bear fruit. You're the man!
Many of us have been at this quite awhile and I feel like I've grown quite attached to my scout brothers and all of their unique personalities and playstyles. I hope that we keep our club tight knit despite the FOTM users that may skill in to this fit now that it's so flexible and viable. I hope we show them what months of practice has done for us.
"Lo there, do I see my father, Lo there, do I see my mother, my sisters and brothers, Lo there, do I see the line of my people, back to the beginning, Lo, they do call to me, they bid me take my place among them, In the halls of Valhalla where the brave may live forever." |

I'm fine with a 10% buff to the Amarrians if they'll shut up.
I don't want any more buffs for the rest of the scouts, we're more than fine with the current hug levels. |

My girlfriends family are all extremely scandinavian, tall (all over 6' 4"), and SOLID (and coincidentally all doctors/mathematics professors/theoretical physicists and that's just the under 30 year old cousins; as if they weren't intimidating enough already). The first time I met them they were roaring, ridiculously drunk and decided that Caber tossing was a great activity. Fast forward to me (also stumbling ridiculously drunk) totally wrecking myself trying to Caber toss a 75 lb tree (I am of good english and czech stock but definitely no viking). That was one hell of a hangover....damn vikings..... For those who don't know what Caber tossing is I'll break it into steps 1) find a dead tree 2) decide the tree offended you 3) pick up tree and throw it as far as you can seeing as the tree offended you greatly 4) take pain killers 5) lots and lots of pain killers.... and yes kaber tossing is technically scottish or something, vikings don't care. They take what they want. Caber tossing
Lol, I'm 6'4" and these days weigh about 260 of mostly muscle. When I was younger I weighed over 300lbs of all muscle. I played football in those days. I try not to drink because that's when my berserker mode has been known to engage. Maybe that's why a good nova knife session just feels so right? |

I'll pay it back in my own way by benefiting society as a whole or something like that. I'm sure that's how they see it. I just want to be able to play in a lab and get paid for it. What you just described is a day in the life of the lazy graduate student. You get into the lab and decide, "nothing ever works, **** these western blots, better go play on the forums" So in a sense you get paid to forum warrior. Every now and then you might duck off and do something sciency but that's pretty rare. However, the non-denatured absolute ethanol is a nice perk too. (just kidding...........or am I?) Okay fine, occasionally you get to do things that are actually interesting/cool. Like working with the causitive agent of the _____ _______ that killed over ____ of Europe's population back in ______. *redacted* .......yep security clearance is a *****. Can't even talk about what I do...... Wanna talk cool ****? Back in 2009, I was hired by Unilever to reformulate the Axe shower gel line. They needed to remove a surfactant from the ingredients list, something about it being a low dose skin sensitizer blah blah blah chemophobic wuss-bag talk. One of the product leads got the okay from marketing to start a line of "metallic" themed gels, and I got to work on a brand new line. They pitched cobalt blue, Ferrari red, and industrial silver. This is the only one to make it so far but I got to work on all the prototypes. Commodities are tough markets though. Glad I am out of that game.
Honesty time, I've used that. My girlfriend hates it as she says that I smell like a street pimp when I use it.

I left Unilever with about 2 years worth of free Axe shower gel. I have since run out, and only use Old Spice now Oh gods. Old Spice. that smell is the only time I like being in close vicinity of men. It smells sooooo good. I wish more butch girls would use it. Axe on the other hand makes me break out in hives from being around someone that uses it. You guys are gross.
