Seeing all the talk of scrambler pistols, I decided to put some SP into them today. Made a simple militia fit with dual pistols and a scanner. Pretty awesome stuff. I just may spend some of the SP I've been saving for 1.7 on pistols.

What would you guys think if we got a buff to our scan range and precision? Say, buff our base range to 30-40 meters and scan precision to 35-40. Pretty much make us walking scanners. The 6 meter buff was nice, but in order to attain effective passive scan, we use up most of our precious CPU/PG.

Foxfour stated in the devblog "we have 219 items in the store" so I'm assuming we will get sidearms, heavies, and whatnot. I'm pretty sure the items he listed were just a handful. Of course, I could be completely wrong.

Thanks for everything you've done for us scouts, shotty!
I'll probably be moving on to LR/medium for a while. I've been getting too angry lately in-game as a scout.
One of the more prominent scouts on this thread should start a new thread concerning the protest. Just to keep it organized and to have all the ideas in one place.

Anyone else notice that sprinting no longer cancels an active scan? I'm not sure if this was intentional or not by CCP but it's bothering me a lot. If someone gets the jump on you while you're in a scan you're toast.

Although its been so cold I can't play, because my internet keeps going on and off once it gets below freezing... So frustrating.
Edit: Aww... I pulled a Nappia...
Yeah those fires are a bit of a problem

Brokerib wrote:Just wanted to get some opinions, am I best off dropping the AV grenade for the Flux? At the moment I'm using the REs for the primary strike to try and drop shields before hitting them with the Swarms, and the Grenades are for when they come hunting me and I don't have time for a lock. I'm not getting many kills but I can manage to keep 2/3 tanks occupied simultaniously if there's reasonable terrain around for me to hide in. I've noticed a couple of people mentioned that fluxes can be used to set off the REs in a combined alpha strike, which might net me a couple more kills, just not sure how effective it is. These days most tankers I run into seem to have picked up their game, so I generally only get 1 RE stuck before they race off into the distance and crash into a mountain.
I personally find flux grenades much more effective than AV grenades. I carry flux and REs on almost all my fits and that alone is enough to take out a distracted tanker.
