With 1 complex you'll have over 400stamina given you have lv 5 biotics (a must) I do have level 5 biotics, but since the minmatar scout only has 2 low slots it's hard to fit a cardiac regulator since I use 2 complex kin cats (need the speed) |

[wow, this a pretty tech heavy post ] Minmatar has 15% to laser and 10% to blaster Caldari has 15% to blaster and 10% to laser I'm not a big fan of the breach pistols. I certainly had the utmost love for them in chrome, but the now comparatively lower fraction of suit health they take away per shot plus the slow rate of fire just isn't worth it to me. Certainly with proficiency the TY-5 does 150+ damage a shot but it really isn't viable against tanked ADV suits or any proto suit. One downfall of the shotgun is that it doesn't have the killing power to stop someone from turning around and blasting you in the face. If the shotgun stays as is, this really won't be any better, however the amount of HP you need to tank will be reduced (hopefully) because of the reduction to rifle damage. (which means more EWAR or damage mods or biotics ) The damage profile reduction for shotguns wont be that significant for shotguns, mostly because those two will be low HP. Sorry if I misread, but they're going to actually lower shotgun damage in 1.8? In no way does the shotgun deserve a nerf for the kind of damage it puts out, even if almost everyone stops brick tanking, that doesn't justify the shotgun getting lower damge imho. Add on the fact it's effective range is 4 meters, I might as well use knives at that point. ( I do love knives though, but I wan't my damn shotgun fixed too)

It's supposed to be a hybrid between a slayer and sneaking fit :p where I take down unsuspecting enemies and basically haunt them

I have mixed feelings about 1.8 .... Yeah I'm happy all us scouts are getting buffed, and we deserved one for a long time now... But I can't get over the fact that all the FoTM chasers are going to flock to the scout suit and brick tank it into an assault suit. It just sickens me. No intent to be like an assassin, or think like a scout, rendering it into a dumbed down assault suit... I know this is just a petty issue, but I can't shake this feeling. And as soon as scouts become FoTM, we'll be nerfed again and it's back to square one... I ask myself sometimes what's the point in even playing anymore when this game is just an endless cycle of unbalanced buffing and nerfing

Starting to get tired of people complaining about the cloak... it was nerfed before it even deployed in 1.8 FFS. There's already downsides like the loud cloaking / decloaking noise and the bright shimmer when moving around (shimmer is at full effect EVEN AT WALKING). Getting the impression that most of the players in this game are blind and or have no sense of situational awareness.... -_-

It seems like every thread I visit that mentions cloaks, Cotsy8 appears out of no where and ALWAYS posts a giant wall of text of how cloaks are crutches them immediately assumes that all players that use the cloak are scrubs Dude just give up...

Should Cal scouts be able to scan Gal scouts with a few precision enhancers? The fact is that Cal scouts can already scan every other suit in the game with a substantial amount of range, all except for the Gal scout. A Gal scout is practically immune to any form of passive scanning by enemies. But cannot scan other scouts unless it sacrifices it's only two high slots, assuming that all other scouts are fitting a damp or two, and have no where near as much scan range as Cal scouts. But isn't the whole point of the Gal scout to be unscannable if fitted properly?
I iz confoozled...
On a side note the only real problem that Gal scouts have is the ability to brick tank like assaults and still maintain better stats than assault suits themselves, but I've suggested countless times that there either has to be a penalty towards scouts when using armor plates that are more severe than the penalties it would have on other classes. But I think more specifically it should only be a penalty towards regular armor plates, not ferroscale or reactive, those are a ***** to fit.....
