What are the limits of the unreal engine 3 on PS3? I would like to know if we can have things like enviromental distruction or atmospheric effects that change the battlefield dynamically The maps are immobile, i mean if a crate is there, it will stay there even if a LAV hit it. It would be awsome if a day we will have the possibility to interact with the ambient we have around. Do you think is possible? |

I'm sure it is possible...
Our PS3 clients are already getting tons of data about all the people and ammo flying around... there is no reason that object physics couldn't be part of the fray.
Well, other than the time, effort, data load and unintended consequences anyway.
As a programmer the concept is pretty cool to think about in terms of implementation and optimization. |

It would be quite interesting to blow up a supply depot, or nanohive and have them expend the supplies with damage resulting. As well as generally manipulating the now static objects on the maps. I am still kinda surprised that the fires on the maps do no damage as it is. |

At least we can see Borderlands 1&2 were made with Unreal2, I am expecting an interesting PvE, even though it doesn't just rely on the engine.

I actually like the unreal engine. Yeah it can be buggy, but You can't deny the roster of great games that uses it. It all tho comes down to the skill of the developers. |

Yes, but Bioshock and Army of 2 are single player games. They can probably "manage resources" in a much tighter way.
I think the more telling entry on that list is DC Universe Online, another MMO entry, also on PS3 (even given that they aren't an FPS).
How do their graphics compare to Dust? |
