Reducing hull prices and turret prices 50% would be a quantum leap toward balance, for now, because making money would be easier for us. If we can call in more tanks, the av can get more kills, and therefore money. sounds balanced to me. |

like, i dont see tanks getting a buff for at least another 2 builds, so i just want to make money like the rest of the dust community and have many millions upon millions. 500,000 for a well fit tank would be fair. Right now, theyre double that. |

Yeah, so, had an interesting experience today. I solo'd a tank.
Now you might say, "DB, you're a Heavy. Us tank drivers already pray to whatever gods we believe in that every one of you Forge Gunners develops testicular cancer. That's no surprise."
However, I was using nothing but Flux Grenades and my trusty HMG. I had no idea I could kill a tank with an HMG. I never tried before. Granted, it could have been a gimp tank, but...seriously.
ON TOPIC:
I always though vehicles should reliably die to AV, but that they should be cheap enough to field every game if you wanted. That way vehicles are more like a class (like Assault or Logi or Heavy) and a valid playstyle, without being frustratingly powerful.
I honestly believe it should be no more expensive to field a HAV than it is to field a proto Assault, given that AV remains effective. |

Let me tell you that I have alts in every possible specialization because I don't call anything OP without doing my research. When, in the last few weeks, have I said "AV is OP". Possibly, the only thing I have truly called OP is the caldari logi.
You should probably do some research before you say things like this because you look like an idiot in front of the vets, who, honestly, still run this game because we are the best and we know the mechanics better than those who are not. A good number of us have studied the economics, numbers, and in general, have made a few spreadsheets to prove our points and here is my data: A good tank will cost roughly 1.2 million. The average payout per match is 300k. That means a tank has to survive 4 matches to break even, and 5 to make a profit. Ask yourself: how many tanks do you see survive an entire match, compared to the total number of tanks you see deployed? -- i imagine, not many. This means that only the very best tankers can profit- a characteristic that is, otherwise, only found in dropships. Everyone else, even with below average skill, can profit using mlt, std, adv, and proto gear. Is that balanced or are you stupid? |

Why? At the end of a match, a great tanker and a great assault player will rack up 30:1, but the assault player loses far less than the tanker does. You new players all believe that tanks are easy to use and part of me wants to join dust uni just to give ya'll free tanks just to show you how hard they are to use. |

I've been playing since the E3 Build so i'm not new. Also the reason why you should expect a nerf if tanks cost the same as proto assault suit is because all of the ar guys will cry for nerfs because there's not enough risk vs reward. Seriously if you've been here longer then a month then you'll know that's how it'll end up if that happened.
Oh and I've used tanks quite a bit so I would know how to be a better AV unit. |

And that's exactly what I mean. I feel like if you roll back the HP buff just a little bit and:
Basic tank = 150k ISK Good tank = 300k ISK Great tank = 900k ISK
The game would still be balanced, and tankers would have more of a reason to specialize and be able to afford to practice. Infantry would be paper, tank would be rock, AV would be scissors. Game would be hectic, diverse, and fun. |

Played tanks before, its fun and pretty god damned easy I see 80% of tanks called in survive a match if they are being driven well which is the key
Almost every single post of yours is "Waaaah I need to make more money cause my tank is expensive" when surviving as a tank even the standard ones we have now is exceedingly easy if you follow a few basic principles such as have infantry support, stay mobile, avoid tight spots and ample infantry cover If I can go 30 and 0 in a militia tank with the default fit just by keeping my eyes and ears open and following those basic principles I would say tanks are working fine
I dont know what your problem is if your tanks keep getting blown up, maybe you or your teammates just suck or you havent figured out where people like to nest with swarms and forge guns
The only ones that really get to ***** are drop ship pilots, the things are sky cabs and nothing more If we turned them into say a mobile supply depot for the passengers with the pilot getting a team resupply bonus from each passenger things would be better for them |

Do you actually read my posts? Personally, I do fine as a tanker as far as ISK is concerned, but that's me and maybe like 20 other guys. Every other guy who wants to try out tanking cant bc unlike, other classes, its damn near impossible for all but the best to succeed. I'm trying to make it more of a class than a 'thing ppl do every now and then' so im throwing every suggestion out there. Tanks are broken right now and it's all due to the ISK imbalance. Either tanks need to become a whole lot better by giving us adv/pro havs and our pg skill back OR tanks need a 50% price reduction all around. |

It's acctually not difficult once you learn how to pillar (basically cover for tanks). i went 64-0 with a soma against proto av. Just get a missile launcher and shoot the chubby balls of lightning. |

This is actually a fantastic idea, I had considered this already. Buffing tanks would make things more difficult for infantry, nerfing tanks would make things impossible for tanks. Lowering the price boundary for tanks would not only make things better for infantry (Having tanks that they could destroy, more varied gameplay), but it would also make things better for tank users (Can actually use what you skilled into, don't have to worry about pulling insane K/D ratios to make a profit) |
