Just wanted to share.
Recruited a good friend of mine to DUST just so I would have another buddy to play with. Now this guy is a die hard and I mean DIE HARD CoD fan...he refused to play BF3 because he felt as if it was inferior to his personal idol - CoD.
We hop into the game - me with my 9mil SP, him with his 500K and play a round of skirmish.
First thing out of his mouth and I kid you not was "This game is the ****! So much better than CoD, it's actually fun!"
It was like his eyes were opened to something new and he LOVED it. He raved about how he loved the customization level of the game and how he could control everything about his character.
I just wanted to share a small positive instead of a negative for everyone.

Its why were all still here.
The game has its flaws, but CCP will still work to fix and balance the game.
CoD however...will rot because 1 year later they release a reskin and alllll is forgiven...and much money is fork-ed over.
Can't say I blame Activision for doing it tho, if people keep paying for the same junk over and over again...why change? |

Keep in mind though, you and your 9m SP toon are there to help guide him through his New Player Experience.
Most newberries go from the Academy to PubStomping with little interaction/guidance. |

Aye tis the reason most of us are still here. Many of us remember how much fun we had, particularly at the beginning. I am just hoping that CCP manages to brings the greatness, that this game deserves, to the table soon. |

Of the very limited number of people whom I have shown this game to, and gotten to play,
(now at 2) this is the reaction I am seeing as well.
I think a lot of people who have stayed on for a long time forget that this game does do some things that are very unique
and that is a huge plus to many people.
Also, on a side note, what weapon is he looking at skilling into? |

Just give him time to sink his teeth into the game and he will realize how many of those "choices" are meaningless. |
