Yep, all the Recruiter item rewards at Milestone 2 (when your recruits hit their first 100,000 WP each) are BPOs. The Milestone 1 Recruiter reward (when your recruits hit their first 25,000 WP each) is 25 copies of the HK4M shotgun. |

Another way to put this...
If you can get 100 players to get 100,000 wp each, you can get about 2 months worth of free active boosters and 2,500 free shotguns. |

The Milestone 2 rewards currently cap at 50 Recruits. So, once your first 50 recruits reach their 100,000 War Point milestones, you've reached the limit of what permanent items and boosters you can get through the program.
There is no cap on the Milestone 1 reward, however. So if you have 50 recruits who each earn their first 25,000 War Points, you would receive the 25 copies of the HK4M x 50 (1,250). Then you can sit atop a pile of shotties and watch the world burn. |

mmm...maybe early boosters are a bit much? I like em, but I'd prefer them on the far end. Maybe 5-10 recruits? I suppose 1 and 3 day actives though aren't really that bad...and more players is always good ^^
Curious though how you are securing against grinding them from farming? (I think the worries are rather exaggerated, but still relevant) |

what about ISK-Contract boosters?
Double profits for active day with small boost in Skills at the lower end? That would be dandy for mid-tier players and fresh players to invite their friends...it would also make it something you could use to flip and supply those new players with some cash if they join the corp after the ISK-transfer system makes it's way to Dust. |

What if we already recruited someone? Will they have to make a new characters, or is there a way to make the character they already created a recruit?

From the dev blog:
Quote:And the best part? Recruiter rewards are retroactive! Just make sure your recruits are still playing DUST 514 after the upgraded Recruiter Program goes live this week, youGÇÖll get any rewards they would have earned for you. You are a true student of dropsuit naming conventions. "Type" designation is legacy from pre-Uprising (which was when this program was being designed). These are actually the Assault C-1 and Assault C-II suits. We've updated that info on the Recruiter page: https://dust514.com/user/friends/ Thanks for the eagle eye. |

But how will they know if that merc is a recruit? I sent my friend the link and he had to make a whole new character. He already has a character created with well over 100,000 WP, but it won't let him choose. He has to make a whole new one. |

I understand on what you said; however, Me and JadeTech are wondering how it works because i am an old player and he recruited me to the game when it was still in beta. Our only concern is how it will work because i am NOT a new player, and if we can still get the reward. |

... You know nothing.... Look on the recruitment page! It says, sign in, verify, create character! When my friend signs in, he has to create a new character. It will label that character as a recruit.

Hostile much?
From the fine print on https://dust514.com/user/friends/
- Recruit accounts must be created using a link provided through the Recruiter Program. Be sure your friends use a Recruiter Program invitation to create their account in order for rewards to be granted.
- To be eligible for rewards, the new Recruit account needs to be activated, and the Recruit needs to log into the game.
- Please note that once your Recruit signs up for an account, rewards may take up to 24 hours to be applied.
I've been in from the closed beta so I haven't been on the recruit side of the process. However, everything points to the recruit needing to create a new account. I don't see anywhere in the fine print where it's create a character. Maybe we can get a developer to confirm.

Thanks for the response!
Since I've been outed as a nitpicker =D The issue is not of just naming them correctly. Even *I* am not pedantic enough for that =D The underlying suits you refer to no longer exist in the game in the same form and IMHO there's no obvious and satisfactory answer for what equivalents from today's game you could be referring to. As another poster pointed out, there's no such thing as an Assault C-II suit. The two standard level Assault dropsuits from Chromosome (Assault Type-I, Assault Type-II) have become four (Assault A-I, Assault C-I, Assault G-I, Assault M-I).
Perhaps you meant to say something like Assault C-I and Assault A-I? This would most directly match the old suits, but it would weird in today's world because you'd be inexplicably snubbing two of the four races.
Or perhaps you meant to say Assault C-I and the advanced level Assault C/1 Series? But not only would this snub all the races other than Caldari, you would also be introducing an advanced (ADV) level BPO, which is extremely unprecedented and I'd be surprised if that was allowed to occur.
Basically, it seems the rewards were selected in the previous patch, and the dropsuit progression has changed quite drastically since then. I don't think you can just try to find the closest "equivalent" suit name.
One possible thing you can do that might make sense and stick close to your original award structure is reward the two new armor-ish standard level assault dropsuits in place of the old armor-based Type-I, and the two new shield-ish ones in place of the old shield-based Type-II, so:
10 Recruits: Assault A-I and Assault G-I 50 Recruits: Assault C-I and Assault M-I |

2) "Recruit accounts must be created using a link provided through the Recruiter Program"
So I can't recruit a friend on the ps3 when playing dust and by sending a PSN mail. So I have to tell my friend to go on a computers and must create a account by using my link. That way to hard CCP make this easy in the future. why can't my friend do this on the ps3?
3) Making throw-away alts is exploit and abusing the Recruiter Program, CCP will not tolerate any alts farming.
LOL, your not trolling right CCP. 100,000wp is hard work and time. If someone is doing this 50alt and 100,000wp each just let it pass CCP don't be a diiicckk
4) 1 player need to hit 100,000 WP for each ('1') milestone and 50 player hitting 100,000wp(5,000,000wp total) for 50 milestone.
100,000wp per new play skill and 20minute per game

hmmmm... 1-5 recruits is easy, now the 10 is hard, now look at the 25-50 WTF that a pain in the rear end CCP. Can I or even anyone even find 50 player that did not download dust a free to play game on the ps3.

The weapons the recruit receives are supposed to be better then the militia gear, the recruit AR is with a HP damage of 34.7 but the recruit sub-machine gun has a lower HP damage with only 21.5 while the militia sub-machine gun has 23 HP damage is this correct? All the other stats are the same accept the damage, it just seems odd that the description states that the recruit weapon has an advantage over the militia gear when the recruit sub-machine gun does not.
Also the person I recruited plays on multiple names under the PSN account, do all the three player slots add up together to make up the WP required to get the rewards? I ask this because he only has around 84,000 WP on one name and has played on another name in the other two slots. I received the staff recruiter dropsuit and to our surprise he received a recruit dropsuit as well, which is very cool. So now he has a recruit dropsuit, recruit AR, and a recruit sub-machine gun. |

seeing as I've not gotten an answer I had some testing done. It will count across all three people on the account. I DOn't know if biomassed characters count though. |

question, type I and type II drop suits no longer exist as of uprising; how is it possible that these are being used as rewards? You are a true student of dropsuit naming conventions. "Type" designation is legacy from pre-Uprising (which was when this program was being designed). These are actually the Assault C-1 and Assault C-II suits. We've updated that info on the Recruiter page: https://dust514.com/user/friends/ Thanks for the eagle eye.
as an EVE player, I watch the periods very close to avoid scams, comas included... I see a period here...

It'd be nice if our recruiter links had a reference to a page that included embedded thumbnails. I'm not sure how that works, but being able to post to people's facebook links or other social media sites might increase visibility. |

50 recruits at 100k wp is INSANE
By the time someone has done that, there will already be a C-II dropsuit in the game, along with the M-II, A-II, and G-II along with every racial variant for every role, and every weapon they've been talking about.
The numbers need to be reduced to 10k and 50k respectively, AND number of recruits reduced from 25 to 10, and 50 to 20
I've already recruited 6 of my friends and only a few of them have barely made it out of the academy. The problem is since it's a free download to play this game, I don't get anything because they didn't know to use my link, and just downloaded the game off the PS store when I told them about it.
One is still playing off and on at about 23k wp, another is my roomate who has about 12k, and the rest have only played a couple battles and thought the game was crap.
I have a few more people I could get playing from my small group of people I know but that's it. There's no way I'd be able to get 50 people to play and enjoy this game as much as I do unless I had a huge audience to share the link with.
The average player doesn't have a twitter or facebook account where they can share a link with thousands of people. Even if they did it still would be near impossible to get to these numbers. I mean, even the CPM who posted in this thread said he had 39 people who used his link, but not a single one has hit 25k wp yet.
Please...think about it. And while you're at it, at least explain what the heck C-II means! |

I'm also very concerned with the possibility of advanced level BPOs. Even though they wouldn't be on the market and would be quite rare, that is going in a direction most players would not like.
No BPOs over standard please. |

Nice to see the DEVs responding to the questions in this thread... oh wait, they haven't. Great!
The rewards are pretty weak in relation to the requirements, and even if they weren't how on earth am I supposed to get 50 recruits to stick with this game?! If the game was all that it should be at this point in time it may be plausible but as it stands most people are driven away by the protostompers, lack of features and ultimately the lack of enjoyment.
The 25K and 100K WP milestones are fine, but how about adding more milestones (after 100K WP) and reducing the ridiculously high requirements of the last 2 rewards? After 5 recruits it should be every 5 recruits (ie. 10,15,20).
Also, as an added incentive to the recruits they should get another 7day booster at the 100K WP milestone as well as the crappy BPO militia dropsuit.
My biggest issue - why the are all the dropsutis Caldari?! Ugh! Your rewards should be race-orientated, meaning if your character is Gallente you should get Gallente suits, not Caldari.
The same goes for the so-called "Elite Pack" add-on, 150 Caldari dropsuits?! This would be okay if the player market was open (or even just the ability to sell items back to the current market) and you could gain some ISK from the useless suits. YES, they are useless UNLESS you have specced into Caldari dropsuits.
I love this game even with all the BS and will stick with it through thick and thin ('til death do us part), but come on CCP, you make it so hard not to slate you at every turn. Make some sensible decisions for once PLEASE! I do understand that it's no mean feat you are trying to achieve but some of the things you do just don't make any sense whatsoever. |

What would be really helpful is if the /recruits page showed you the character name of each recruit and how much WP they have. That way you could give them incentive by sending them a message on dust offering them ISK rewards for reaching the milestones.
I personally would pay 5mil ISK for the first milestone and 20mil ISK for the 2nd milestone to all my recruits, unfortunately there is no way for me to track them. |

I want to play this game, and i want to invite my friends, but now i won't ask any my friend to join dust 514. Game is too bad, controls of gamepad too slow. If i will invite any my friend now - they will laugh about controls of gamepad at first, and at second - other problems. Yes me too. I really want to enjoy dust in the future, maybe 1.5/6 and onwards. I brought someone and helped him a lot. I told him to switch the default controls and he found one that is like Battle Field and he instantly to a liking. I just hope he is listed as my recruiter now. |
