this looks fun, thanks!
question, type I and type II drop suits no longer exist as of uprising; how is it possible that these are being used as rewards? |

CCP Sentinel wrote:You are a true student of dropsuit naming conventions. "Type" designation is legacy from pre-Uprising (which was when this program was being designed). These are actually the Assault C-1 and Assault C-II suits. We've updated that info on the Recruiter page: https://dust514.com/user/friends/ Thanks for the eagle eye.
Thanks for the response!
Since I've been outed as a nitpicker =D The issue is not of just naming them correctly. Even *I* am not pedantic enough for that =D The underlying suits you refer to no longer exist in the game in the same form and IMHO there's no obvious and satisfactory answer for what equivalents from today's game you could be referring to. As another poster pointed out, there's no such thing as an Assault C-II suit. The two standard level Assault dropsuits from Chromosome (Assault Type-I, Assault Type-II) have become four (Assault A-I, Assault C-I, Assault G-I, Assault M-I).
Perhaps you meant to say something like Assault C-I and Assault A-I? This would most directly match the old suits, but it would weird in today's world because you'd be inexplicably snubbing two of the four races.
Or perhaps you meant to say Assault C-I and the advanced level Assault C/1 Series? But not only would this snub all the races other than Caldari, you would also be introducing an advanced (ADV) level BPO, which is extremely unprecedented and I'd be surprised if that was allowed to occur.
Basically, it seems the rewards were selected in the previous patch, and the dropsuit progression has changed quite drastically since then. I don't think you can just try to find the closest "equivalent" suit name.
One possible thing you can do that might make sense and stick close to your original award structure is reward the two new armor-ish standard level assault dropsuits in place of the old armor-based Type-I, and the two new shield-ish ones in place of the old shield-based Type-II, so:
10 Recruits: Assault A-I and Assault G-I 50 Recruits: Assault C-I and Assault M-I |
