WP wise I get more with drop uplinks than with nanohives. Even with standard uplinks you can get 250 WP before you need to put another down. |

Well, the Nanohive is the more useful if you just slap them anywhere. More ammo for people, and they'll readily use them no muss no fuss. Derplinks are WAY more effective if used correctly, but they cost WAY more fitting. You'll probably have an entire fit based around nothing but the derplink. You also only get points for spawns ON the derplink, so it has to be somewhere people WANT to spawn. Sometimes, they just can't spawn to it as well, so there is always the minor risk it'll bork for someone.
In short, Nanohive for frontline support-y guy, Derplink for an entirely separate suit.
If you can't tell, I mildly dislike derplinks. |

I run logi so I always have both hives and uplinks. Uplinks can give a lot of WP, but it just depends on your team. If they die a lot or if the uplink is in the "right" spot during blob warfare, the WP just pours in. Other times they yield very little to no WP at all.
Hives generally aren't the best WP generators, but they are extremely useful and helpful to the team and yourself.

It's 50/50 in ambushes, but uplinks on skirmishes & especially domination will be well appreciated. |

Depends on the situation, do you find yourself or your teamates running out of ammo? Then get nanohives Do you die before you even finish up your magazine? Then get downlinks
Personally you cant go wrong with nanohive in most situations, but a good downlink can change the pace of the battle in your team's favor. In terms of pure WP, downlinks tend to give more in the long term assuming there arent already dozens of downlinks everywhere on the field.
I suggest you get ADV rank on both since you'll find yourself needing both eventually. Proto seems more expensive than its worth. |

It's already been said but for domination/skirmish it's uplinks for ambush it's hives, people don't typically use uplinks in ambush due to spawn campers and the fact that random spawn usually puts you with the largest group of guys.
However, they both work fairly well in any situation.. If you're in a big firefight (team v team) throw down an uplink so any lost will re spawn on the fight, drop hives as well to resupply (heal too) your fighting forces. |

UPLINKS any day of the week, the use of uplinks tactically vastly reduces the need for ammo at all. Putting them in the right place means near constant reinforcements for you. |

Uplinks. Grab a logi, plenty of uplinks, an LAV and drive around dropping them everywhere. When you run out, drive back to supply depot, reload and drop some more. It will benefit the team and especially your squad. Maxing 8 uplinks is 2000 waypoints. |

Get at least level 2 uplinks for the stable ones. They cost less pg/cpu which is key.
As for nanohives, stick with the basic ones. You aren't going to need expensive nanohives unless you have a full squad of heavies alongside you.
So ask skills go, spend points in uplinks. Being able to use a stable uplink that allows you to have more than 2 active is the way to go. Run a fast suit with that, throw uplinks everywhere, then spawn with your basic nanohives the next time. |

You can't win domination without either, so it doesn't really matter. However, I think uplinks are a little more important because you just respawn where you need to with full ammo |

Proto are only good when in special situations using 2 triage and 3 gauged with a uplink can create a position (usually on a building even harder to take and Nanocircutry also covers the injectors which take practice getting used to)
Stable or R-9's are the best choice for uplinks with either low PG/CPU or 2 uplinks
Nanohives either K-2 or K-15 both are advanced but two can be deployed and the K-15 can heal friendlies
or you could try a active scanner, remote explosives, AV mines, Nanite Injectors, (Repair tools are for Logis) |

Proto nanohives are amazing..... Just sayin, but If you like to solo then Drop uplinks can be awesome too. Drop uplinks let you go into a match, drop three down and make crazy points every time someone spawns on it. |

This topic is 100% situational.
Drop links are good in the early game, or if you're trying to get your foot in the door somewhere. Hives are better when you're in a situation where you know where you're going to be shooting a lot or throwing a lot of nades at a tank.
Generally I run a droplink 10-20% of the time (depending on game mode) and hives the remaining 80-90% of the time. |
