All we could come up with were.
1. Free to play.
2. Comms work well.
3. 6 man squads are ok. ( 8 would be better )
4. The idea behind suit customisation is nice.
This was all we could honestly come up with.
Can you think of anything else ?
Links with Eve
Developing and Shifting universe with rich history and player created content
Corporation Mechanics that beat the ****** clan system hands down.
Just to name a few. |

Can you think of anything else ? Links with Eve Developing and Shifting universe with rich history and player created content Corporation Mechanics that beat the ****** clan system hands down. Just to name a few. ''links with eve''........... lol. orbitals in PC. yeah fantastic. ''player created content''............. Really, where ? '' Corp mechanics''............ Corp or Clan, it's just a name that's it. Sorry but these are not really positives in DUST. Neither are fanbois I'm afraid.
1- Links with EVE- I am a part of a corporation that essentially specialises in FW combat for the Amarr Empire. We roll out a reasonably strong ground team whenever we can have small gangs complexing in Amarr FW space so that the modifiers scale in our favour.
Our guys go out and generate FW matches for us to fight in. They also have one or two players rolling Orbital Teams, to whom we send the location of the battle, our teams get the WP, we get the strikes, we get the wins.
Up in EVE our guys get the bonuses and glowing praise of how we brought God's vengeance to the Matari scum (since they are RPers they love it), the also get the complexes they need to more quickly, which in turn allows them to push into more systems, get more LP, and eventually strike down enemy POS's like we did tonight.
2- Player Created Content- Firsty you have to go out and make the content ....you know...its player made....
I find the more you invest into Dust the more you get out of it, the more I create my character, the more I fight with my corp over things to take, or to defend, when we dominate the field, and when we are on the back peddle, and when we get paid to fight and kill in the name of God, the more I enjoy what I am doing.
I create my own content, and as a corp we all create a story for ourselves and our corp. FPSers don't understand complex narration.... that's just how they are.... they like movies like Fast and Furious ****....uh Six and explosions...and boobies ( the latter is the more admirable) they don't really care about narrative....this is Dust and New Eden we need to care.
3- Corp mechanics are something that puts the clan system to shame, Clans are simply groups with clan leaders who just try and subdue/ micromanage the fractious personalities of FPSers welding them into a coherent whole based on sheer charisma alone. Dust structures this, it allows for management of corporation resources, player base, the promotion and allocation of roles.
"It's just a name" that's the attitude that a need to change with Dust, A corp is something you should have pride in, take pleasure out of the corps infamy, its trustworthiness, its prestige, and of course its player base. In most FPS games a clan or corp is a group of people you play with but the bigger and stronger corps always consider themselves more than that, they are communities, families, friends, etc. |

Then I'm struggling to understand what most videogames have going for them as the entirety of such gameplay exists solely in the mind.
The more you push into the current mechanics the more the game opens up.
If you don't play with EVE capsuleers then you aren't getting content, if you don't immerse yourself in the games lore and history you aren't again getting all of the content, and if you don't join and appreciate the corp you are with then you aren't getting all of the content.

This is what is commonly known as. '' bollox speak '' usually spoken by politicians and estate agents, also actors in Oscar acceptance speech's
Um so it seems like I'm enjoying the game Like Devs want me to and you aren't so how is this so called "bollox speak"...
Games are always most assuredly better than their competition if they have good narrative, and or a reason for player immersion. |

Lol, Can I join your corp on my alt? This sounds like alot of fun.
Well that would be up to the corp leadership. I'm just a grunt spreading the word of God.
PIE Inc RP's, we roll FW missions, we try to maintain full squads when possible and when I get online during peak hours year I like to get the word out the the EVE guys to roll out some OB's.
PIE Inc only accepts Amarr or Amarr bloodline races, Khanid, Ni Kunni, Amarr, and were not up for Bloodraiders, Sansha's Nation, or cultist deviants of the faith. In game RP is not required by in IC interview is. GIve it a try and talk to Aethrion Mirra or Aldrith Shutaq.
If I can get a way to record EVE gameplay I would roll some out of me dropping OB's running FW complexing, so on so forth.
@ Icecream- Well it is since I am successfully achieving a level of immersion and therefore enjoying it, as would I say is the predominant number of Duster in my corporation
@ Joe- NO idea what you happen to be talking about... can you explain what you mean with.....um....what're they called..... uh... clear explainations? |
