I agree with a good amount of things said, but I just have to point this out:
"Splash damage must also be lowered universally. Reward player aim, no weapon in the game [save grenades] should have splash damage that is even remotely close to its direct damage."
You've never used a Mass Driver before, have you? If you had, you would know that doing this would kill a weapon that has already received an unnecessary nerf. I get that you think the Flaylock needs to be looked at, and I agree, but Mass Drivers and missile turrets and such need decent splash damage to even justify their existence. If you actually look that the Mass Driver stats, there already is a big difference in direct damage and splash. Whereas the Core Flaylock does, what is it? 250 direct, 220 splash? |

I know a lot of people disagree with this sentiment but this game still really feels like a PC game that was poorly ported onto the PS3. |

Between poor performance, an incomplete dropsuit and vehicle design (e.g. tons of missing racial variants making it impossible to make meaningful decisions with SP), and horrific balance issues (shield vs armor tanking (both HAV and dropsuit) and poor weapon balance/design), it makes this game increasingly harder to enjoy.

I know that people won't like this, but for FPS games you need a single-player campaign just to onboard the player into the story and universe. Take that $20mil you got for advertising and create a solid PVE experience and you'll see Dust numbers skyrocket. You can't smoke & mirrors a F2P game like this... |

Pve would do more for the new player experience and retention, although the vets would also like it. |

Bla bla bla save the beta players.
This is all hogwash. If all the old players left this game would see a bump in use as the Pub stomps would end.
More noobs try this game in 2 weeks then the entire population of "hard core". If CCP could retain those noobs it could lose all the hard core and do better without them. |

It breaks my heart to admit...
All those point in the blog are true.
Usually I've disagreed with Duster's Blog but this time not only I'm agreeing with the blog, but all points of it.
Only thing I'm not sure of is the player loss mentioned in the intro. I think we don't have enough info on that.

With no word from CCP, they have no clue whether shameful elements like the cartoony LAV issues [aptly named Mariokart 514] are issues they intend on fixing or working as intended. Its certainly not doomsday as we havent even seen a major marketing push, but CCP needs to address these issues before they spiral out of control. A recent poll showed bugs, technical issues and poor FPS mechanics as players chief complaint. Many recent changes have also tuned weapons with the unskilled player in mind rather than the skilled one. This breaks the game and fails at the core because if the average skilled player can get 30 kills with a Flaylock, the skilled player can triple that. This is the reason noob tubes in any form is a bad idea. Right now the forums are a wasteland of negative threads and shitposting that would turn away any new player curious about the Dust 514 experience. Now is the time to communicate and resolve, as it may be too late in the coming months. read the rest here: http://tinyurl.com/krn8oga

Why would people leave a game for games that are not coming out for 6 months to a year from now?

He means the hope for dust has been lost. Seeing all those great games coming prompts people to stop spending money on this terd, and save for ps4. Legit reasons for discontent. Looking at great games and playing a bad one. Kills perspective. |

The game is in dire straights. The innability to respond to game breaking mechanical flaws (afk lag nan inj) have killed the experienced players patience with roken mechanics.
When you keep getting killed and losing millions of isk because of game mechanics, the real players tend to leave.
Whos left? Evetards and terrible players who take advantage of proto vs militia ganking.
Good luck with this game.

Yes the game has become an eve meta game inside the game. It is more tomfoolery than any other game I have ever seen. Sad thing is ccp lets it happen. |

Well the average console gamer are brats. Hey, it's just the harsh truth. When things don't go their way and/or in a timely fashion, they take to change.org and forums to voice numerous complaints. My problem with the complainers and whiners is that when their requests are fulfilled, they find something else to complain about.
Dust 514 is an ambitious project. The grand scope of it is pretty huge. And by no means is the game close to what they envisioned. But I see where Dust is heading and I would like to be a part of that. For me, I have always wanted to be a part of EVE. When I heard about Dust, I knew I would sink me teeth in.
So yes, while some things in the game doesn't work, I understand that my contributions and constructive criticism will help the game grow. I don't give a flip about "hardcore" players leaving. That signifies nothing except a person who wanted to stop playing. I don't define what Michael Arck wants to do but what others have done.
With time and feedback, Dust can be one of the most popular shooters out there. I see the potential. Once it gets there, all the naysayers will return and act as if they weren't always saying something negative about the game. And I will be there, making sure that their experience is most unpleasant as every bullet rips through their outdated dropsuits. |

Its nothing competitive about Dust, it have NONE of the elements that competitive FPS gamers wants in a game. LAV murder taxis, spray and pray guns, "one shoot kill" sniper rifles, grenade launchers with ridiculous amount of ammo... the list goes on and on. Then you have the aiming mechanics, which are NOT innovative, they are just plain ridiculous and childless. The lag of experience that CCP have with FPS games, is not only obvious, is also SHOCKING. |

I'm not going anywhere. DUST has more potential than any of those games when it comes to really dynamic battles with lots of coordination and team play. Titanfall has more frills but DUST is definitely going to be the place for the hardcore. If any developer can be relied on to make good on their promise to continually iterate the game until it really comes to fruition, it's CCP. Let's give them a bit of time. It's their fault for getting us all hot and bothered too early for what they promised DUST will be and now we've all got blueballs.
Not sure what their gameplan was...probably didn't have the game quite ready but didn't want to release it later at the same time as PS4 releases. So they called it a release. The game will keep evolving, probably month by month, and they will keep balancing and refining it and working out the kinks. Let's give them a chance to realize their vision, which is a truly awesome one.
DUST is worth fighting for and devs have indicated their commitment to rapid iteration with this coming patch. Let's see what they can do over the course of the summer. Put your energies into making the game as successful as possible. If we can pull through it will be well worth it. |

OK, you have said that in every reply and every thread that you've created. It's as if this is your destiny or something. If you loathe the game so much, why are you still active on the forums and why you continually play Dust?
