nice QQ. Just giving it a bump.
--It's really "odd" of the fanboys to complain about your QQ thread. Yet, they are so willing and ready to say something with the hopes of getting >bent. How "odd"
---Just wait for CCP to acknowledge the GOOD feedback. (Not always necessarily constructive) Whether it be 1 year, or 5 years, said fanboys will be "qq" <<<"odd"
----Tiny player base is exactly right. That's exactly what the fanboys want. That's why they are always hollering at people to GTFO.
---There was a lot of people being constructive in the beta phase. (beta phase will never end for dust) But, if we all remember correctly, anything that went against a fanboys unfair advantage, was shouted down and greeted with GTFO, and a bunch "you need to do this and that"...And a bunch of other New Eden BS that is far from fulfilled as far as what was advertised.
--No more complex than it really is, they have allowed corps to be too big and the pc region is too small. Thus, when AND IF pc ever expands, the few corps already involved will be the only ones TRULY competing for any territory. Having the 'jump' on someone seems to be entire plot of New Eden.
-As we can all see....the majority of the noobs want to get in the pc corps...just like the majority of the noobs flocked to the corps with the most people during the beta. This will never change so 1500 is too many members in my opinion. 500 members triples participation in limited spaces right? Or, triple the space.....but tripling the space will matter nil because the corps already involved are raking in ISK hand over fist....so, naturally, they will always have the advantage.
Academy probably needs to be extended by twice the WP. I seriously doubt it will help. Noobs just don't see any light at the end of the tunnel. Heck, most of the vets don't either. Only the fanboys can sit around here and defend what is obviously flawed. And not just lack of participation in PC, but overall lack of depth period. So neat, there are a buttload of weapons and suits and modules and bells and whistles. That's every other TIME-HOG RPG in the world. Where's the WAR at? Where are the strategic chokepoints on the starmap? Why on earth are they not ALL being fought for and around right now? Oh yeah, because the teeny little part that is up for grabs, Doesn't, EVEN, WORK right!
Just keep stacking deck in the name of "deserve" and "reward" and see the player base dwindle. Keep relying on come-backers. Keep letting the favored have their little way. Keep letting fanboydom disillusion you from truth. Fact is, if this game were a disc game, it would be a fail of EPIC proportions. The only reasons that several people have stuck with it are, time spent, money spent, loyalty to their group, and a small, very small glimmer of hope that it will deliver on what was advertised. and SOON! |

-tier the gear in pub matches: Militia gear only in the academy. Basic gear only. Advanced gear only. Proto only. Anything goes tier is FW and PC battles. Each tier could have a respective level of payout bonus for the match. Academy with the lowest pay-scale and Proto only with the highest.
-complete post-battle breakdown of enemy suits/weapons/vehicles destroyed: Supposedly a merc gets paid according to what they destroy in a fight. This is only obviously noticeable when one runs AV or Forge and takes out 5 tanks, 7 LAVs, 2 dropships, and 2 turrets while going 24-14-4. Then you can push close to 500,000 ISK for a pub. It would be nice to get at least a rough breakdown of what we killed during the fight. Damage dealt can be sky high while not killing squat. Breakdown should also include healing and support. Heck, a WP separation would work too. WP by support / assists / kills / hacks / destruction.
-bring back corp contracts: Have the option of 16-man and 32-man battles. !6 could run ambush OR domination. 32 could run those OR skirmish. These need to award Salvage, SP, and ISK for individual mercs, for each battle. Levels should be determined by the stake of the fight. Maybe losing corp receives 1% of stakes bonus and winners get 2% stakes bonus. Special salvage only goes to the winning side??? IDK There needs to be something for corps to do OTHER THAN throw their hands up and join another corp involved in PC, play an alt toon in a PC corp, or play a game where a group has a realistic chance of growing at a rate where they can be competitive in the parts of the game that enticed them to play in the first place.
-open up corporate headquarters: Each corp, no matter 1 merc or 1500 mercs, could have a headquarters "district". There they could stage corp drills, and depending on the size of their corp, they could make a miniscule amount of ISK/clones/fictional resources that could be plundered by any other corp at the attack/defend timer. This could offer the budding corp a small taste of what REAL PC will hold in store. It would give an opportunity to learn the workings, create a small corporate/pirate income, and give people something to do while the years pass and we wait on all of New Eden to be opened up to the ground forces like we were all led to believe would be the case right up until about a month before the "full game" launch.
-fix the bugs/glitches/exploits: 'nuff said there.
This is just some early morning thoughts. Now the ITES can scream at me about how that's all stupid and this is New Eden, and 'nerf', GTFO, etc, etc. |
