As long as i can get on play, and usually play different people, which happens right now. This game would be far more developed if they hadn't had to leave the carbon engine. As it stands not the core fps elements are Ok. There lacking is some areas, but all in all for a free game, it's pretty good, and with updates every 3-6 months Whats not to like? (Rhetorical don't answer that :D )

Poor testing More content before clean bug free(to an extent, thats a never ending score right there) Poor decision making :release date(full), order of fixes, armor, missing huges chunks of SP content, then acting like we're the one who are being careless. STanding on the shoulders of giants, tip toeing around the eve community, whilst trying to integrate.(what has killed PC)

Quote: [...] tell me what successful fps is as vehicular based? Those were your exact words. You never specifically asked to include companies that are actual FPS developers. Technically, CCP is now a FPS developer for that matter since they are developing one if you want to be technical about it. They may not be good at it, but I'm pretty sure you can say the same thing to Bungie, Epic Games, Infinity Ward, TRION, etc. All good companies had to start off crappy anyways. I don't see your point.

Battlefield had some huge balanceing issues, like the Famas, the M16a3, and i know theres tons more.

For example Skyrim has very nice PVE, since that is what it is all about, but if they added PVP to it without major changes it would be a disaster. If you play Skyrim then quite a few of you may know about how to create an invincible character. However, CCP really needs to start turning more of that potential, that many of us see, into reality. What they are doing is ambitious and cuts across genres but in its current iteration has no more sense of permanency, to our actions, than PS2 but with worse gameplay. I understand the main complaint most people who have played PS2 have is that nothing you do matters I.e. you conquer a continent and while you are logged off the other time zones play and by the time you log in again everything you took has been taken back. Now a strength of dust was the fact that our individual actions did matter but at the moment for many players our actions don't matter as most of our time is spent in instant battles. You could say what about FW but our actions have no bearing on Dust as all of the benefits are received by the Eve players. PC is for the elite with high SP and not for the average player especially with they have low SP. However, if CCP is determined to make this game good then they will eventually succeed so long as they have the money and resources available to use.

I'm thining we aim for Unreal Tournament in terms of fps, which I think is more where we are leaning. If you get rid of the glitches and lag I think we have a decent base fps to work with, those are what really kill the game.
